Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76757401 Most of these very same people wholeheartedly support draconian lockdowns that have been mandated by the government and have generated astronomical profits for a few megacorporations. Do I have to spell out the incredible irony? Fuck a vaccine passport. Get a vaccine if you want one, and leave me alone Fuck a mandatory lockdown. Hide if you want to, and leave me alone. It's really not that complicated. If you want Massa Gub'mint to lock you in your cage and inject you with The Science, then move to China (or Europe, sadly). But now all of a sudden some extra millions can't be found for the people who deserve it the most? The government is coming under further pressure to reconsider its planned 1% pay rise for NHS staff, with more unions joining the backlash. The British Medical Association and other unions said their staff "have literally kept the country alive for the past year". In an open letter to the chancellor they called for a "fair pay deal". Health Secretary Matt Hancock earlier defended the pay increase, saying it was "what we think is affordable". But healthcare staff reacted with anger at the plan. The Royal College of Nursing called the rise "pitiful" and started preparing for strike action, saying that its members should get 12.5% instead. Quoting: ParamedicUK If this is long lasting then it will cause a health crisis in its own right. We are starting to take patients to hospital with long covid issues - often chest pain and shortness of breath! Appreciate your on the ground info. Worst of all you don't need to have had a symptomatic covid infection or have been hospitalized to develop long covid. Which is why if the vaccines don't bring the transmission chains to a halt then the issue of long covid is still going to be causing problems. And those studies regarding the parkinsons/dementia... if they are on to something then we won't know the full extent of the long covid problem for years to come. And that might get screwed too by infections 3 through 4..... reinfections only increase as variants keep “escaping”. the virus is just going to stop entirely when there is no evidence to suggest that will happen is just unbelievably irresponsible and will lull people into a false sense of security. , but saying it is likely to happen is just wrong. The pace of Covid-19 vaccine administration in the US continues to improve, each day bringing the country closer to herd immunity -- the point at which enough people are protected against a disease that it cannot spread. This week, President Joe Biden said that the US will have enough vaccine for every adult by the end of May, and a CNN analysis of federal data Now...Here are 2 "Authorities" I 'll Trust ?? NOT//H shows that herd immunity is likely not far behind. [link to edition.cnn.com (secure)] A Whole Buch of Lies and Propaganda To Con the Sheeple into getting Poked with Poison.... Quoting: ParamedicUK Yeah and on top of that there's the excess deaths numbers which are seen as a more reliable indicator of actual covid deaths in some countries because there are those who die due to the covid but for one reason or another their death certificate doesn't mention covid. I remember this happened a lot in Mexico last year where people were suspected to be dying from covid in large numbers but they were afraid to go to hospital or hospitals were full etc. That resulted in a big discrepancy between official covid deaths and the excess death toll. Well the same thing is probably happening in Brazil right now. Many hospitals are full, people can't get there so a great many are probably dying in their own homes and aren't having their deaths diagnosed as a covid death. So if they're recording 1,800 covid deaths per day now then maybe it's more like 3,000 in reality. |
