Just a personal update -- despite the rather regular contact with others, I still seem to be Covid-free. I'm hurting a lot, but I think that's mainly from stress.

My mom is deteriorating quickly, and it's excruciating to witness. At least her pain is controlled, but that affects her cognition, and her ability to stay awake.

I'm a bit of a wreck -- trying to keep focused on work, but not doing it very effectively. I am focusing on my garden, which is flourishing, despite my inexperience. I think I'm officially hooked on gardening. I've spent too much money on garden stuff, but I'll be pretty self-sufficient with vegetables from here on out, and that's a big thing. Because I'm indoors, I'm still screwed with a long power outage ... but eventually I will have an outdoor garden (if I live that long.) For the immediate moment, I'm staying where I am, and learning all I can about indoor gardening. I'll take this setup with me wherever I end up, so it is an investment I'll use for years to come.

The plants are providing some much-needed solace in all this sadness and uncertainty.

EU, UK and USA are making sure that plans go ahead to add folic acid in large quantities to breaded foodstuff - especially white bread.

It isn't for pregnant ladies, no, but the reason did stem from their low covid numbers.
