But wasn't Israel in a strict lockdown until about a week or two ago? Not enough time to conduct that study, in my opinion.

Let's see that study be conducted again in Israel in a couple of months when the next wave starts and they have some of the dodgy variants circulating.  I just came back here to add that. Case numbers had already rolled over and were dropping before the vaccines. Ie, the end of a huge wave. They knew that was coming, which is why they rushed the vaccines the way they did.
