The European countries on the mainland need to act decisively on whether to lockdown or not.

I'm looking at France in particular because they were going to go for another lockdown last month, but then hesitated and ultimately decided aginst it. They got lucky that time because cases didn't rise too much, and unlike now where cases are rising more, and seeing higher rate of ICU admittance per recorded cases. All signs point to the more lethal, more transmissible b117 variant spreading.

The lesson from UK with b117 is you must not wait, you must lockdown early. You can't wait and see how things are playing out because by then it will be too late as the variant spreads super easily.
