Zoe app recorded a doubling of estimated cases in UK in the past 5 days. This isn't an official number for cases but could be used to foresee what the official case numbers will be in the coming days.

CDC hasn't updated the variants page in what seems like 3 or 4 weeks

A couple months ago they changed the layout to the variants page. With the old layout they were updating the variants page twice per week...

CC... the diabetes thing again happening in otherwise healthy people with a new twist -- the Indian variant itself could be to blame for the black fungus rather overuse of steroids. Holy fuck...

The ‘black fungus’ killing hundreds across India could be related to the country’s highly infectious coronavirus variant, rather than overuse of steroids, Indian specialists believe.

It is thought that the new strain, known as “Delta” or B.1.617, is causing unprecedented damage to the pancreas of otherwise healthy people, triggering sudden onset diabetes and soaring blood glucose levels.

This allows the deadly flesh eating fungus to thrive. The warnings from Indian doctors come amid growing concerns about the spread of the variant in the UK, where Delta is now dominant.

and a bumped post from the other day

Recent clinical data has suggested a correlation between Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) and diabetes. Here, we describe the detection of SARS-CoV-2 viral antigen in pancreatic beta cells in autopsy samples from individuals with COVID-19. Single-cell RNA-sequencing and immunostaining from ex vivo infections confirmed that multiple types of pancreatic islet cells were susceptible to SARS-CoV-2, eliciting a cellular stress response and the induction of chemokines. Upon SARS-CoV-2 infection, beta cells showed a lower expression of insulin and a higher expression of alpha and acinar cell markers, including glucagon and trypsin1, respectively, suggesting cellular transdifferentiation.

It will be all over the news how society cannot open fully because of a few selfish people unwilling to take the jab - the 'vaccine hesitant'

Then the vaccine program will be ramped up o try to catch those who refused

Heavier coercion perhaps alongside media blaming the 'unvaccinated' for ruining everything

Interesting times ahead

They will need to do some heavy manipulation on the rising number of hospitalisations of people having had 1 or 2 experimental drug shots.

Heavy handed coercion and isolation on the way for us poor souls who refuse to be injected with this trial drug!
 Quoting: ParamedicUK

Until peer reviewed, double blind medical studies are published that definitively prove that Ivermectin DOES NOT offer the highest known protection from ALL alleged Covid "variants", while also providing the fastest, safest, best practice path to an adverse side effect-free, and a NON-CONTAGIOUS speedy recovery, for those that are or become infected...my unwavering stance is this:

You can keep taking their gene mod jabs,
I will keep taking my horse paste dabs.

In CoronaCoaster's defense, there is a difference between " "people" (friends, associates, etc.) and "family" (parents, siblings, etc) in terms of the value of their thoughts and opinions. It is easier to shrink your circle of friends than it is your family. We are kind of going through the same thing. My wife, son, and I are not vaccinated and have no plans of doing so, at least anytime soon. The rest of our family (my wife's parents, her sister/family, my dad and his wife) are all vaccinated and are starting to put pressure on us to get it as well. We have explained to them our reasoning for holding off and they seem to be ok with it at the moment, but I believe there will likely be additional "encouragement sessions" coming up. It is tough.
 Quoting: Georgia Geoprepper

As covid 19 cases drop worldwide, especially in the most vaccinated countries, do you believe this drop is due to vaccinations?
 Quoting: Lago

The thing is, cases are dropping in some places, rising in others...the vaccine likely is having some impact, but so is seasonality, monkeying with thresholds for testing positive, and general reduction in testing.

Dude, why are you so pissed off that I am against the vaccine and that I happen to believe there are issues with both safety and effectiveness? You're on the verge of being as bad as George...

Look, I understand you are desperate for things to go back to normal. We all want that. I want that. However, I am not going to cling to false hope. The vaccines are clearly showing now to be ineffective against at least the Brazilian and Indian variants..On the safety front, take a gander at VAERS and see the number of cases being reported of people having serious adverse reactions to these vaccines.

I'm glad you got vaxxed. Bully for you. That being said, if you believe that it is a magic bullet and that you can go back to "normal life" (no masks, handwashing be damned, out gallivanting in public without a care in the fucking world), you are playing a dangerous game and are likely in for a very rude awakening down the road. It doesn't provide immunity, it just (maybe) lessens the severity of the virus when you get it. So, it is (maybe) gene therapy. So, as a vaccine it is ineffective. 1 of the concerns is this is happening with the tweaked and fudged case #'s. imagine if they had not done that.

i tried to point that out with my monthly local report from here on the NY-PA state line. the case drop is not as good as it should be overall to the local counties considering the way tests and cases are tallied. and i did see some increases. if u eat half a cake, it should not b getting bigger.

by the way CC2, it is summer. i am wondering if your season idea is more time related. day u get the virus and it mutates down in 3 mths. just by luck the start is NOV,so by spring the # would b going down. however, if t starts in JUNE,we could see a different swing.

problem is that is too variant dependant.works for the early waves,i don't trust it with the INDIA or future versions.

as i said a few times and was repeated by a report a week or so back, the next variant can happen anywhere at any time including our backyards. duck and cover is our best defence. glad to see several of GLP's vaccined ppl following that guideline.
