So it looks like the schedule is Delta for summer and Lambda for Winter, barring any worse variant that takes off in the meantime... COVID CHAOS ‘Vaccine-dodging’ Lambda Covid variant that’s hit UK and US is TWICE as infectious as Wuhan strain, study claims [ link to www.thesun.co.uk (secure)] Wait a minute... the D14G "Europe" strain was twice as contagious as the Wuhan strain, then the UK strain was twice as contagious as the Europe strain, then Delta was twice as contagious as UK strain. So, that would put Lambda at half as contagious as Delta then amarite???  Perhaps this thought will help: If lambda is less infectious, it SHOULD die out, right? But WAIT... Lambda can infect and transmt better than Delta in vacinated. So, as we have been discussing, we have created an artificial selection pressure which COULKD allow something like Lambda to thrive, when it would have died out. If Lambda turns out to be more lethal than Delta, we will have worked evolution against our own interests...
