I've been paying close attention in Southern NJ.

Random things have been going completely out of stock, and I think a whole lot of it has to do with the opening/closing of commercial businesses and the uncertainty there ...

the normal supply chains are screwy because of the inconsistency, so restaurants and businesses are going to grocery stores instead of calling their regular supplier.

That being said, it is easier to get a kidney than a kayak or bicycle here. A lot of it has to do with all these families all of a sudden at home when they normally would not be.

Also - I work for a snack food company that had to "pivot" from mostly institutional and event sales to retail ... we're still pivoting ... there are lots of manufacturing hiccups.

Today I scored yeast and canning lids after not being able to get any sporadically ... and paper products are back after every restaurant in South Jersey raided them when outdoor dining opened.

I've just been wandering around all the stores mostly cartless (I'm stocked - no need for a cart) ... and grabbing useful things I could run out of this winter and then have to risk life and limb to buy ... crazy glue, light bulbs, etc.

I figure I should just get things when they are right in front of me and before my money is worthless.
