The only difference is the 'government' isn't forcing anyone to YOU to buy insurance, but the increasing rates remain because the government is forcing the insurance companies to cover everyone - which means, YOU pay more for the government still doing what you claim it isn't. Namely, forcing everyone to pay more for insurance.

The only win Trump has made is to kill the mandate, which allows for those with the means to take care of themselves and their health needs as they see fit. President Trump on Friday teased an executive order to require health insurers to cover all pre-existing conditions, something already established under the Affordable Care Act, which his administration is suing to dismantle.

"Over the next two weeks I’ll be pursuing a major executive order requiring health insurance companies to cover all pre-existing conditions for all companies," Trump said during a news conference at his Bedminster property in New Jersey. "That’s a big thing. I’ve always been very strongly in favor. We have to cover pre-existing conditions."

Trump claimed such a thing "has never been done before," but insurance companies are already required to cover patients with pre-existing conditions under the Affordable Care Act.
