That was a bad kill. Dude was clearly trying to put the gun down when he was shot in the side/back.

Cop is justified, but should be terminated for not having the ability to handle the situation.

He had the gun behind his back though. It'd be different if he had walked out with it in front of him.

If someone can announce they're a concealed carry holder (as the law requires) and get shot without provocation...

If you know the cops are at your door, do NOT open it with a firearm in your hands...You can easily call the PD to verify that their are actually cops at your door...

The guy had no idea wtf was going on - just that someone was banging on his door late at night for no reason.

Rule #1, Don't live in an apartment! I would rather rent a mobile home or a small house as even 5' of grass between me and a neighbor is better than 4" of sheetrock. I have personally never had a good apartment experience.

thats effed up. Sneaky as shit to if you ask me, they was playing video games, someone comes knocking on your door in mid of night wtf you gonna do, its a video game the guy dont like it upstairs put in some plugs duh. And he was putting the gun down, didnt even know a 2nd cop was behind him. He put the gun down and got shot in the back, sneaky as shit. Tattoos all over the cop. prolly jacked up with ptsd or got a trigger finger from watching to much cnn. And yea do you see whites ripping this nation apart over it? In the end shit happens, just be glad it wasn't you and wake the eff up.

Lesson to be learned. When LEOs identify themselves at your front door, you don't go brandishing a loaded sidearm.

I really do believe that we need a national conversation about how cops behave and what their rules of engagement should be.
We have way too many laws, and way too many cops. Cops are trained to empty their gun into whoever they shoot so that person can't sue the city. That is incredibly wrong.

Headsets aren't expensive relative to gaming consoles/PC, can provide a superior sound experience, and means that neighbors will never hear the game regardless of how loud you play it.

Stand to the side of the door - follow that procedure.

Have your ID in your hand, stretch out and have it in full view of the peephole.

If someone knocked on your door yelling police, and you look out and see an empty hallway late at night, what would you think is occuring?

That's why I never call the cops... shit like this is all too common.

He was prolly still plays the game while his GF heard someone at the door, she more then likely didnt hear them say we the cops either. He should've not opened the door at all. And just let them stand out there. If i look out and dont see anyone in the peep hole. Door doesn't open!

The problem is the bops arrive and stand out of view of the peep hole. At the same time cops are taught to stand out of the peep hole site. Therefore, the training must be modified. Cops must announce who they are when they arrive knosking at the front door.

If the cops ever show up at your house like that tell them to break down the god damned door. I wouldnt let those fuckers in my house freely.

Video games are great, rebuilds your eye and hand coordination, helps in alot of therapy, helps those with early Alzheimer's, and more. Video games arnt the doorway, the merit of the character is. I guess you think music and dancing is a death wish too huh, is your fav movie footloose? lol

The guy in Arizona (Tempe, I think) who was in the motel with an air soft rifle. Remember he was face down on the floor with that psychopath cop barking contradictory orders at him? He cried and begged for his life. That cop was prosecuted and the fucking jury acquitted him.

Eric Garner, Brooklyn, strangled over possibly selling individual cigarettes. Cop charged, jury acquitted.

Native American man and wood working artist, in Seattle. He's deaf. Walks down street, whittling a piece of wood, cops scream at him (from behind his back) to stop and drop the (pocket) knife. Because he couldn't hear, he didn't stop walking and they shot him in the back, killing him. No cop charged.

Homeless guy in New Mexico, sleeping outside of town, outdoors. Cops approach like soldiers hunting the Taliban, guy - about 50' away - is holding a knife so they kill him. Nobody charged.

Kelly Thomas, southern California. Schizophrenic but not violent. Cops tell him to sit on curb and he does. Then they start beating and kicking him as he screamed and called out for his father. That beating went on for 20 minutes. Five cops, IIRC. Kelly died the next day, so badly beaten he was unrecognizable. Cop got off.

Mother, in argument with teenage daughter in some parking lot. Dad calls cops. Cops arrive, kill dad. Nobody charged.

Video of handcuffed woman (maybe 110 lbs) arrested for drunk driving. In some room at police station she asked for her one phone call. Cops starts to rough her up (while she's handcuffed) and she demands he get his hands off her. Camera turns off then comes back on with her face down (still handcuffed) in a pool of blood because he beat the shit out of her. She lived, he was fired, no charges.

Young woman in holding cell. Peeks out OPEN door to ask cop in hallway a question and he slams her face into a cement bench. She lived, no charges for him.

SWAT team in Arizona (Phoenix, I think) goes to wrong house, early in the AM. Couple is sleeping. Wife wakes husband and says strangers are creeping around the bushes. Husband grabs firearm, cops break in their door and shoot over 80 times, killing him, an innocent man inside his own home. No charges for cops.

SWAT, or several cops, break into wrong house, again. Missouri, maybe. Terrified couple and their two little kids scared to death, lots of screaming. Cops shoot both of their dogs who IN THEIR CRATES. Nobody charged. So many other horrible similar events where cops shoots dogs. Most in their own yards or houses.

Those are just some of the videos I remember. Never mind the huge number of articles with the same stories, over and over again. Every fucking time we have these assholes jump on the threads and start defending the cops. It's like clockwork. They're as despicable as BLM and have the same black and white (no pun intended) thinking: all cops good or all cops bad stupidity. Extremists who are too stupid to see GRAY and simply oppose abuse and murder, no matter who the victim is and who did it. Fucking idiots.
