Protesters getting mad in Beirut

Yes I understand that but I also understand that if I was Lebanese and this had happened to me in my own backyard I’d be wanting the heads of state to resign too.

Not sure that protests have ever accomplished anything although I could be wrong.

Just seems like they’re very angry and annoyed that this situation occurred in the first place.

The Lebanese people have been protesting against their government for decades so this is nothing new.

The people of Beirut should be getting mad. Their government is ultimately responsible for the blast. Regardless of the explosive, it could be fertilizer, or rocket fuel, the government allowed it to happen. The people of Beirut seem to believe it was done by Hezbollah, that is possible, or it could have been another nonmuslim theocracy in the neighborhood. Regardless, the Lebanese government allowed dangerous chemicals to be stored there for years. There were many complaints over the years, but the government did nothing to reduce the risk. I doubt they will ever be able to put a true count on the dead. Foreign rescue workers are being removed along with protestors. The corrupt government is going to be in trouble very soon. Who will rule Lebanon? Will it be the people that have been victimized, or will it be Hezbollah?

It is not good. Not Lebanon or who ever is next for the slated chaos.

I am not arguing. I pinned this thread because I think protest is important and needed and I stand by all protesters. The fake ones are obvious and just need an awareness of that being so.

I hear ya. Staged protests seem to be a regular thing now especially with all the reports of paid protesters in your own country.

I took note of who was bailing out members of BLM and Antifa...

They are now building some gallows in the square and chanting to the government officials " resign or hang" - this is a form of protest I hope comes to DC!
