From what I understand with his speech just now, The democrats were blocking the $1200 / $2400 IRS check stimulus part 2 (plus $500 per dependent) ... why? Because they tacked on a 1,000+ page filled with things like release all the prisons, open all the borders, etc. and who knows what else...

So Trump is doing what he can with his limited powers to help the people. (temporary income tax removal, extension of federal unemployment benefits, etc.)

It does sound like the states have to come a quarter of the way though with the unemployment benefits (or more if they're feeling generous) but we'll see which states take him up on it.
