A few well placed water cannons should take care of this unwanted infestation and as an added bonus you clean the streets as well.

All of the looting could have been prevented with and wall of water. What about all the non-lethal Sonic Weapons the police and military have. They used them effectively against terrorists who try to board ships. I'm sure they got some vehicle mounted kind. Would be an excellent way to disperse the crowd...
