Me too. Especially when they splice in three commercials.

It's TV that we have to hold and/or lay down to watch. That's why. And TV we can make loud enough to hear in the other room while we do stuff. Not so with a phone

My assumption is if I'm watching a video on an online streaming platform there is some sort of filter being applied (visible or not) that can, for example, put as in a more sedated state.

Have you ever watched any videos on the ctvnews platform? It's like overt grayscale filter on the video. It's obvious on the CTV, it's less obvious elsewhere.

Similarly, remember when the daily provincial COVID press conferences first took off? Many of them struck me as little more than opportunities to speak in a slow cadence and soft tone like they're deliberately trying to lull us to sleep.
