This plus the eviction freeze are to get Trump to
the Nov finish line. Then WHAMMO!! in 2021 when you
have to settle up with all the "free money" you owe.

.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79245219

the package calls for an extension of the moratorium on evictions of renters. This may sound good but what about the rental property owners? There is no proposed moratorium on the bank foreclosures on those properties. If the landlords get no rent due to the moratorium, they can default on their mortgages and the bankers grab the properties.

Then I suggest rent collectors vote for Trump in November so we can get this economy going again.

Otherwise, 2021 could be a most unhappy year for the middleman.

Now, tell us again who you're going to vote for?

Re: Attention - here is the scoop on the payroll tax cut
[…]

My wife, The Queen, and I have cut our cost of food, fuel, clothing, etc. by more than 50%. For example, I don't buy bread; I bake bread from scratch for a fraction of the cost. We have a garden, chickens, and a milk cow.

We have ZERO debt.

However, I am negotiating to purchase a farm next to mine in order to plant more and have more pasture for my cows. That land will go up in value.
 Quoting: darth

Cities counties and sheriff and troopers made all that illegal.
Un employees disallowing food and arms.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69693440

Total horseshit!

You really think UN troops who cannot even subdue Somalia are going to take huge losses daily in Texas? Every deer hunter will be sniping them from over 800 yards.

That is not to mention the short life expectancy of any pol or bureaucrat fool enough to order confiscation.

BTW, our sheriffs and local cops will NOT enforce any such idiot order.

Are you prepped? Did not think so.

$100,000.00 rich?

Not with this dollar.

Let's see... 100k...that might get a couple and one child through. But you better be smart and budget, because that ain't gonna get you much.

Let's say mom is a teacher and dad is...I don't know...a Librarian...why not.

They pull in 100k.

They need two vehicles.

They have exorbitant taxes.

They have the house bill.

All of junior's school junk that will cost $$$ and trying to put some back for his tuition.

Then there's the 401k.

Mom's wardrobe and teacher training expenses.

Dad's books and seminar travel expenses.

Food.

Electricity.

Welfare for central American illegals.

Yeah, you're not gonna have two dimes to rub together.

And I haven't even gotten to all the incidentals.

No employer is going to stop deducting the payroll taxes from your checks based on an executive order that only defers their having to be paid. The only thing this order does is to potentially screw the funding of SS and Medicare.

It's not even an order, itself, but a memorandum lol

Ya'll know what this 'order' is?

Maybe I was harsh. I was talking about $100K for a family of 5. Definitely not rich. For an individual, especially a single man, $100K is still not rich, but it's well within the comfort zone.

For a single woman, it's probably bankruptcy, eviction, car repo'd, etc.

Since most state unemployment benefits only pay 50 to 60% of what your were making, the extra 400 will probably put most people breaking even or just under. Also, UE benefits always have an expiration date usually less than a year, so those staying home instead of taking a job when offered will end up regretting that decision when jobs dry up along with their unemployment.

Quit your bitchin because you are still coming out on top. Remind me of two siblings arguing over who received the bigger piece of cake. YOU BOTH GOT SOME! STFU!

Might be.

Didn't read the details on that bracket.

The point being that 100k isn't going to get you much today unless you plan on being a functional eunuch, which many are opting to be.

Inflation and socialist redistribution and outrageous, crippling taxation have cratered the American dream of the family and home, unless you're stuck to the tit of a government job, or are Amazon.

But the mom and pop shop and laborer? Yeah, you're screwed.

Oh sure, you can bank on Trump's "if I am elected" promise on that one. First of all, it would take an act of Congress to eliminate Social Security and Medicare. Secondly, do we really believe his promise? How about these promises:

Trump, July 19th: "We're signing a healthcare plan within two weeks, a full and complete healthcare plan. We're going to sign an immigration plan, a healthcare plan, and various other plans. "

Where's that healthcare plan?

Where's that immigration plan?

Where are those "various other plans"?

And we're supposed to believe this whopper. He'll promise whatever you want to hear for your vote, then it just becomes another bait and switch.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77921420

It's always this way with con men. They keep you on the hook, keep you paying and your reward is always just around the corner. They just keep that carrot out there, promise them more in a couple of weeks and the suckers keep following that carrot like a line of sheep.

So vote for Trump and he's promising you even more free money if he wins. FFS, this one is almost like banana republic vote buying.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77963055

And there are actually suckers here who believe this pie in the sky "if I am elected" promise?

I've got a bridge I want to sell you.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78030312

That's right. Trump promised all that by the beginning of August.

So how about before he goes and makes MORE promises, maybe we should ask him about the above:

Where's that healthcare plan?

Where's that immigration plan?

Where are those "various other plans"?

And we're supposed to believe this whopper. He'll promise whatever you want to hear for your vote, then it just becomes another bait and switch.

And there are actually suckers here who believe this pie in the sky "if I am elected" promise?

I've got a bridge I want to sell you.

That's right. Trump promised all that by the beginning of August.

So how about before he goes and makes MORE promises, maybe we should ask him about the above:

WHERE'S THE BEEF?

blocked by congress is where ALL of the above is.

No it wasn't blocked by Congress. Trump said he could do it by EO because of the SCOTUS ruling on DACA:

July 19th: We’re signing a health care plan within two weeks, a full and complete health care plan that the Supreme Court decision on DACA gave me the right to do. So we’re going to solve — we’re going to sign an immigration plan, a health care plan, and various other plans. And nobody will have done what I’m doing in the next four weeks. The Supreme Court gave the President of the United States powers that nobody thought the President had, by approving, by doing what they did — their decision on DACA.

Not to mention that no details of those plans were ever revealed and nothing was ever presented t Congress.

No excuses. Trump said he would and would do this by August the 2nd.

Where's that healthcare plan?

Where's that immigration plan?

Where are those "various other plans"?

Oh, really?

Mine will.

He lives in Minnesota and hates Dems.

I'll be getting those checks in full, cupcake. ;-)
 Quoting: rev18_6

No you won't. Has nothing to do with Dem or Rep. Simple fact is its the law to pay those taxes and Trump can't cancel the law. Both you and your employer are still liable and no business is going to base their tax deduction decisions based on a non-legal memorandums of deferral. Keep playing in your sandbox, the real world is not for you.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79247412

My employer got the memo and is smiling at the very moment.

The checks are on the way.

No more free tacos or hospital care for your illegitimate children, Lupe. LOL :-D
 Quoting: rev18_6

There are no checks coming. Payroll tax deductions will continue as normal. You have no idea what you're talking about and your mouthing off here will get your throat slit in the real world. Try it.

Social Security should be well funded. Congress has pilfered the funds and left the people with an IOU.

Re: Attention - here is the scoop on the payroll tax cut
Is it eliminated or deferred?

You realize most of what they are doing is forcing
people into more debt, since they won't borrow
voluntarily anymore.

It is a payroll tax holiday, meaning you will not have to pay it back.
