I flew over N. Pole on a British Airways flight from Tokyo to London. Nothing there except ice. I call BS on this.
Quoting: MACV Just cuz they TOLD you that you were flying over the North Pole doesn't mean you actually WERE. Lotsa stuff hidden yet to be revealed... Yup, it's just like this sham from the BBC. They presented this as a race to the pole. Quote from video: "All we had to do now was match the known bearings of the pole with the readout on our sat-nav." Then they show the navigation system and it's around 78 degrees North. Sure they are in the Arctic, but nowhere near the actual pole. Obviously they just went to where some authoritarian agency told them the magnetic pole was, but where is the actual proof? Why not take a compass out and show it change direction as you drove over or around what was supposedly the true area all compasses would point to?Exactly.
