Russian media is reporting that Lukashenko has lost control of the situation in Belarus and will have to flee soon, and exposing his "palace" outside Moscow. This does not sound very supportive.

A large movement of military forces into Minsk this evening.

That is Belarussian forces, I believe.

Many side with the people though.


The outcome is far from certain.

Luka has the police but not necessarily the military.

This is much like Russia in 91/92.


As long as the Russian military doesn't go in, things may still end well.

My grandfather is from Belarus. People are tired from Lukashenko and his dictatorship. Protesters did not break any stores. Everyone knows that he lost in election and people had enough of his bs for 26 years.

I don't have any doubt that is true.

Russia is slowly taking back all their cold war satellite states one by one.

Russia is going to get rid of their dictator after Belarus.

If Russia does have to send in troops they should at least 86 Lukashenka.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different RESULTS.

Putin and Lukashenko are good friends. Putin knows that if Belarus is going to get rid of Lukashenko, he is next. He doesn't know what to do.

Well, he better think about this one very carefully.


This could be his 1989 moment.

Many people in Belarus are in jail right now. I was not able to contact my friends there. Belarus is a nice, small country. They never had big protests and it's hard or maybe impossible to make Belarussian mad or angry. And those people are really tired from their dictator.
