How would Southwest Idaho fare in this event? I saw today a central Idaho quake took down the top of a mountain near Stanley. Crazy stuff happening all around.

The Coachella Valley is a 30 minute drive away...still a resort community.

Maybe this has something to do with the area (nearby at least) getting struck by an EMP like phenomena about a week ago. Power on some devices got knocked out, cell towers dropped calls, and would not let anyone I knew in a 5 mile radius make calls, devices plugged in melted at charging ports even though they were plugged into surge protectors s.

I felt the shockwave when it detonated. It happened up in the sky but I did not see it. I heard it and then felt it. I told my wife, since Skylink went up we no longer get chemtrail planes flying low, dumping shit on our heads, but you can tell a higher altitude more dispersed system is being used (I think Starlink), and I think somebody decided to "test" the new systems ability to shield us from EMP. I think we responded by using space based weapons on multiple sites, Beirut being the most well known.

Let's hope it didn't set off the "Big One".

Im curious, the Salton Sea is relatively shallow but very large, if there was a opening in the earth from an earthquake the sea would dump into the San Andres and liquefy it, cant imagine that would be a good things.

Interested to see what happens. I wonder if it will set off other faults or if it's just letting off a little pressure.

I live in the San Bernardino mountains and we are not feeling them up here. Probably due to bedrock, but if San Andreas goes we will be in trouble.

The Landers quake in 92 was a 7.2 then we had one that same day here in big bear 6.5

Easter Earthquske in 2010, it was a little south of the boarder but in the same general area

Its the starting point for the San Andreas, so there is no limit really to how big of an earthquake would strike, it could be the starting point of the big one

The San Andreas runs thru these parts, and it is this section of it that's well known to be way overdue...and yes soil liquefaction is likely for a lot of us nearby. There are some cities that the fault runs right thru. I was born here, don't blame me.

This area does have frequent quakes but I can't ever remember seeing this many in one day unless it just after shocks from the 4+ quake. Seems strange to me
