their tactics are heavily backfiring them

i can't blame them for their attempts, i try to put into shoes of all people, stories on the ground

but they're really pushing it too far with their Soviet nostalgia, as much as i like Russia for being conservative that much i hate them for bullying all the mentioned ex-Soviet countries
