Quoting: last one It took a minute for me to realize what I was seeing. 4 entire aisles single faced with every form and brand of weed killer, plant food, bug killer, etc. Boycott Walmart home depot amazon and lowes... #monsanto bees are going extinct thanks to Americans demon horde Got Cancer? [link to en.wikipedia.org] [link to vanishingbees.com] you were warned! [link to nongmoproject.org] I live in inner city Nashville, TN, we used to have amazing bee life in the neighborhood. All types of bees and wasps, butterflies, hummingbirds would come to my garden. This year, almost nothing. It really pisses me off and is another reason I'm ready for a more rural home. There are still one or two a day, but nothing like two years ago. Part of the reason is people pay these spray services to kill the mosquitos, and it kills everything else to. People are so damm lazy, mow your lawn and cut your foliage back. Three neighbors spray their forest of bamboo and weeds it is so dumb. This is One of many reasons I moved from my beautiful manicured neighborhood to the country. Had about 50 feet of bushes that would go in bloom once a year and there were no bugs on them no bees wasps no nothing it was creepy. The poison trucks used to come out all the time to spray for mosquitoes I guess it killed everything else too. Now I live in the country and oh my goodness do we have bugs! But that’s a good thing !!! |

We do not learn from history because our studies are brief and prejudiced. In a surprising manner, 250 years emerges as the average length of national greatness. This average has not varied for 3,000years. The stages of the rise and fall of great nations seem to be: The Age of Pioneers , The Age of Conquests ,The Age of Commerce ,The Age of Affluence ,The Age of Intellect ,The Age of Decadence. Decadence is marked by: Defensiveness, Pessimism, Materialism,Frivolity An influx of foreigners The Welfare State A weakening of religion. Decadence is due to: Too long a period of wealth and power, Selfishness Love of money ,The loss of a sense of duty. The life histories of great states are amazingly similar, and are due to internal factors. Their falls are diverse, because they are largely the result of external causes. - Sir John Glubb The Fate of Empires We are at the end of the Age of Decadence heading into COLLAPSE |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79240841 Can't get it anywhere, and it is bottled nearby. Now THAT is a dark omen. I hadn't thought about it until the can shortage mentioned recently, but it could be all kinds of packaging running out. The plastics for liter bottles, detergents, milk, probably all come from China. I think we need to be ramping up some recycling and sanitizing of containers. It won't happen before we start running out of supplies. Dark omens all around us. Honestly, I've been getting bad feelings every time I go shopping. |

Quoting: EllenRipley I didn't want to order it, but looks like I may have to preheat the oven to about 200 or whatever allows you to touch the interior w/a wad of wet paper towels/white vinegar without getting burned and start to work it- then brillo or steel wool- then back to the vinegar for a rinse-or work it again w/the steel wool- it's not as bad as it sounds either- and the fumes are less deadly than the oven cleaner chemicals. some used to say to put a bowl of vinegar in there and warm up the oven and the fumes from the vinegar would loosen up the crap but i never had any luck w/that one. if it's a gas stove, see if the "bottom" floor can get lifted out then u can simply get it in the sink and scrub the hell outta it real easy. same for the door--tilt it about 30 degrees and pull it up--should come right off. easier to clean then. where i am now.i am still stuck w/a POS electric range that to me is a toy--i need to get "tank" and hook up propane and get the range. |

So while chewy.com had a bunch of a certain product, Walmart was completely outout and while walmart had a bunch of a certain product, Chewy.com was out of stock... what is that called? I looked for Alpo (canned) for two weeks....couldn’t even find it online. Settled for their 2nd choice of Mighty Dog....went to 3 Walmart’s, Dollar Generals snd a few groceries before I found any. Son bought a lg bag for outside dogs and found that it was molded after dumping it in the bin. Our Super Walmarts have empty aisles where there should be towels, linens and comforters. I don’t mean sparse or picked over I mean empty Please stop feeding your dog Alpo. Don't you love your dog? |

Thats where we will find the employment numbers turning around, and with having to pay us manufacturing wages, products will be more expensive ~ The products may end up being a bit more expensive, but at least we'll HAVE them! Next time, just for fun, check out the baking aisle and see if they have yeast (for making bread). My local Safeway hasn't carried it in months, and there's not even a spot for it anymore, it's like they don't expect to ever get it again. I saw it one time. Quoting: F00LIO And does anyone else see Mexican branded paper towels and toilet paper in their grocery stores? They have American brands now too, but also 3 or 4 diff Mexican brands. Weird. I bought two cans of Lysol spray at CVS a week or two ago. I needed it, so we went to the Walmart and they didn't have it. There was a CVS in the parking lot so we went there and they had it. I only needed one but figured two would last me a couple years and it doesn't really go bad. I haven't seen any weird Mexican branded paper products. Lester User ID: 13234408 United States 08/11/2020 02:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Probably 60% of Americans, during the work week, would eat one or more meals a day, at vendor-provider instead of home. That has changed quite a bit... Grocers' just-in-time inventory stocking models were based upon this "normal" grocery turnover and "normal" demand. Grocer Suppliers optimize their distribution centers for the regular/normal demand of the stores they serve. Usually these are regionally located. Most cities have a trucking area for fresh food suppliers and meat. Big, several square block of refrigerated warehouses that are rented to the big importers or vendors of fresh foods and veges. These facilities not quite as modern as the big wholesaler operations, but still unable to cope with sudden 60% growth in food demand. Our local Fred Meyer is about The Worst. Wally not far behind. They stock more cans of soup than canned meat/meal products. Not really much there but Chef Boy-ar-dee small cans and tuna; plus lots of chili w/beans. About it. On other side of the aisle is soup. More soups than meat etc; except, now they got lots of boxes of crackers taking up space where used to be soup. Not really worth the trip to either store, they're out of so much stuff. Local chain is very well stocked and has more groceries. Both Fred's and Wally's got nothing in canned veges but carrots and beets; and not much of those. Freds was sticking some shit-brand BBQ sauce in with the beans to hide the empty space. Living at the end of the road, almost literally, there's not many options. For almost 20yrs, we've kept stock of everything we use on regular basis, so no worries... Winter is coming... We've seen snow that never melted off as early as 25th of Sep. Hope you get what you need while you can find it. Sure helps reduce your daily stress. Best to you all... |
