I think they did a better job with police reports back then. Cut brake lines, diddling with the car would have been evident to many observers.

Not saying the car was not tampered with.... just that the investigators back then may have been more mechanically inclined, and that tampering may have been easier to identify.

this is the intersection by the way . There is no hill. The truck driver did not come down a hill. Nor did she. Valley road is as flat and straight as a road gets in that part of the world.

This is what Neilia would have seen driving home to North Star. The road was narrower. There were flat mushroom houses near it, but the intersection itself was not hemmed in by anything.
