the thing that really sold me that theres something to all this is the michelson morley experiment, along with sagnacs experiment. it proved a non moving ether on a non rotating planet. instead they used it to say there is no ether. which is ridiculous. look into it with an open mind

Re: Question for Flat Earth believers!
One of my favorite Flat Earth lines of 100% pure BS, is a DirecTv parabolic dish antennas are getting there signals from cell towers.

Anyone who has setup a DirecTv dish antenna, professional or Do-It-Yourselfer, knows there is a unique position in the sky the dish MUST be pointed to work, depending where you live in the US.

DirecTv website gives you the exact azimuth(compass direction) and elevation where the parabolic dish antenna MUST be pointed.

(click link and type in your zip code)

Where I live in Florida you must point the antenna to

Elevation: 51.4 (degrees above the horizon)

Azimuth: 218.6 (compass direction)

This points to the EchoStar10 communications Satellite and NO other position will work!!!!

To say a DirecTv parabolic dish antenna is getting it's signal from a cell tower is equivalent to saying you can point a compact mirror at the ground to see your nose.

The FE responses to this are hilarious.

Re: Question for Flat Earth believers!
I agree on neither. I have not seen the earth in a way that I can show as evidence. So I will try not to make assumptions on what I do not know because that is was God is teaching me to do.

Isn’t God awesome!! I’m with you. We can know some stuff to make it through life, but other stuff that doesn’t matter, God just lets us know that He has our backs, just keep on living for Him. Easy!!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71088931

This! I dont know what I believe about the shape of the earth, but I do not embrace the Heliocentric Theory. It has not been "debunked" and is instead described as "defunct" which are two different things.

I have found myself leaning towards Geocentrism.

Geocentrism has been debunked and any half decent computerized telescope is hard evidence.

Any scope like the following, can calculated the exact position of Sun, Moon and planets to a precision greater 1/1000th of a degree for decades to come.

This is ABSOLUTELY impossible with a geocentric model. If you saying otherwise, show the calculations using a geocentric model.

BTW, I owned a Celestron Nexstar GPS 11 and know this to be true!

I figured it out it's a flawed mindset looking for affirmation.

The very antithesis of 'Science'.

The methodology is horribly flawed.

Let me count the ways...

No takers?

Tsk Tsk

Look at this guy! He thinks he put it over on those Flat Earthers.

If you look at the video it conclusively proves that the Earth is in fact FLAT!

How?

Easy. Once again, it's 8th grade math.

The declination at a distance of 3 miles is... 6ft.

You would not be able to see the inflatable boat at all.

Case closed. The Earth is flat.

What other slight of hand did this IDIOT 'truther' use? How else did he cheat?
