Kill one and display the corpse to demoralize the other animals.

Put in a moat, add sharks with frickin' laser beams. Problem solved.

OTOH, you could try human hair (from hairbrushes - wife, kids, whomever). It has helped to protect our arugula and cilantro plants for years.
