It sounds like an attempted "suicide by cop" to me. He said he had a gun and acted aggressively toward the Secret Service. When he apparently pulled something out of his pocket, and took a shooting stance, he was shot.

I heard two reports that the Secret Service agent was also transported to the hospital, but nothing about the perp actually having a gun. Why was he taken to the hospital? Did one of the shots he fired hit him, instead of the intended target? Why is news so hard to come by on such an important story? Are they hiding something?

I think there's a great opportunity for Trump here. The next time the President's at the podium, a SS agent should come out, and look like he's telling Trump he needs to leave, because there have been shots fired outside the White House. The President then shakes his head. The agent says something else, and Trump waves him off, continuing what he was talking about.

It would be epic.

I worked in DC, and lived in Northern VA. for a few years in the 90s. Back then, it was great. Because of the hours I worked, I didn't have to deal with rush hour traffic, and I worked in Northwest (the "nice" part of DC), so I didn't really have to deal with the swamp, though. Slipped across the Key Bridge, past the "Exorcist" stairway on M Street, then up Wisconsin Avenue.

It doesn't (back then, anyway) feel like a "swamp," which gives me hope that the swampiness isn't built into the place. So, if we just boot all the swamp creatures out, it can be repopulated and could be a good place again.

I know, I know. Maybe too idealistic, but still...

Well at least now the Blacks now how far their race card protection get them.
