Anonymous Coward User ID: 73848670 Canada 08/11/2020 09:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Once my dead mother told me which of 2 cars to buy. Oh and then she told me my lost driver's license was under the seat in my car. She ended up being right on both counts. The car she told me to buy lasted years with extremely low maintenance. The car I didn't buy was a clunker, my friend bought it and the radiator blew. |

I shit you not. There is no other explanation for what has transpired over the past few months! Quoting: AkashicRecord® Wow, great story A poltergeist that does what? Roams free.. super scary Well, almost immediately after she passed, the furnace/water tank blows and floods the entire basement and the smoke detectors also fail at the same time. There goes $2,500! Later at night, we are in the backyard with a fire pit, looking towards her kitchen. A kitchen light over the sink suddenly turns on. I go and check, and the switch is physically flipped on; thing is, that light was non-functional! I turn it off but check it again days later out of morbid curiosity, and the light is non-functional, as it had been for a long time... At her funeral, every mention of her name was accompanied by a strong gust of wind, knocking over every picture and display. This happens no less than five times. Weeks pass (yesterday, actually) and it's her birthday anniversary...the furnace shuts down again...no hot water and a service call is required. Doors slam shut strangely, and with the complete absence of wind. Also, the alternator on her son's (very new) car blows the morning him and other family members go to leave on a vacation. Here's the thing: she was slipping into bad dementia for a long time and she would spend most of her time aimlessly wandering around in her basement, and she was always constantly searching for her son that no longer lived there. She's still doing all of that right now... Move over Lindley street, now *we* have the most haunted house in Comnecticut! Anonymous Coward User ID: 79252416 United States 08/11/2020 10:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I once “butt dialed” a text with my aunt’s name and partial phone number (minus her area code) somehow. I pulled it out of my pocket and there was her name and the number following it. I didn’t have Siri enabled, hadn’t said anything like this that the microphone could have picked up anyway, and she had not ever been listed in my phone’s contacts. It was weird! Other than that, my grandma seemed to have communicated in a few instances after her death. These were communications to reassure us that she was okay and was happy, to say goodbye to us, and once to congratulate my brother when he was expecting his first child. |

Was kind of expecting a Poltergeist reference instead of a Ghostbusters one, but it will do! Probably because of the similarity to one of my favorite lines: "Sir, what you had there was what we refer to as a focused non-terminal repeating phantasm, or a Class 5 Full Roaming Vapor. A real nasty one, too." Last Edited by AkashicRecord® on 08/11/2020 03:50 PM Sorry, that message is no longer in the database. |

Wasn't there a tv show about that? I couldn't sleep if I knew a ghost was in my room. That happened when I was a kid and I would try to stop breathing so "it" didn't see me move. Passed out and peed my bed. |

Passed out and peed my bed. Well, there was that Annabelle movie about a possessed doll...that was a real Connecticut story. I think the woman who currently had the doll in a locked box, passed within the last year or two... There is a famous Bridgeport home on Lindley street that has some ominous haunting stories. We recently went there and took pictures.. Sorry, that message is no longer in the database. |

User ID: 25589640 United States 12/28/2020 10:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have had a lot, but I got a good one for this. When my ex-husband and I were married, we used to say to each other that when we died, we would come back and tell the other what it was like. He was killed in 1999. Through the years, I would have dreams with him in which he was trying to tell me something, but all I heard was heavy static. About 5 years ago, he was in a dream with me, and I was shocked. I asked how he could be here with me now when he's been dead for so many years. He said, "Where you are, I have been dead for a long time. But where I am, everything is happening all at the same time. So I can be dead for a long time and still be here with you. Understand?" I woke up and just lay there amazed. Thanks for the info, Charlie. You kept your promise. |
