School situation is a nightmare

yeah thats gonna be awful for this generation of kids. we just THOUGHT it was like a prison back when i was in school, now they are literally making it that.

was talking to my 15 year old about it the other day. he doesn't seem too bothered by it but i don't think he realizes what all they are gonna have to do yet.

Im not letting them go there and take part in that psychological abuse and dehumanization.


my children are human beings ordained with freedom from the creator and they shall have it. it is my religion and it shall not be impeded.

My kids want to go. I would not support this except that we DO have an out. We have the option to switch to online through the school for the remainder of the semester at any time. So, if they go and it turns into a giant clusterfuck, we will pull them and do online. Honestly I won't be shocked if they close them anyway within a few weeks.

I love how they make it sound as if those measures are what everyone was just waiting for their entire lifes.

no way i would be wearing a mask all day, but will be interesting this flu season to see if its as widespread as it usually is since they'll be forced to do this.

if these masks and distancing work like they claim then we shouldn't see many cases of the flu at all i would think since they say its SOOOO much less contagious or dangerous than covid, right?

Why are you trying to enroll over the phone? Simply go online, signup, give them permission to request your childs records and you're done.

I homesxhooled my kids using the paces program...all self guided, easy, cheap. .perhaps you can check it out

Oh it is going to be insane. We have contractors going around and none of them have masks on. This was discovered and now we are ordered to go re-clean every single thing that we've already cleaned, not to mention the insane reordering of every desk, table, and chair to accommodate a 6-foot spacing; it's something like 13 kids per class at once now.

Why even worry about school.

We chose to enroll in the online school, and good thing we did because they are forcing it for everyone now the first 9 weeks and reevaluating opening after that with Covid guidelines and practices in place of course.

Honestly wondering what the schools will look like this time next year.

Wow, what a shit-show. Never going to happen across the country, though-who the hell is going to pay for it? Cleaning supplies and medical masks have to come from somewhere, which means they are assembled and shipped, which means that schools have to PAY for them. Where is this money coming from? Increased taxes? Payroll tax holiday? I mean, jeebus criminy and joseph, who thinks that this is actually going to happen across the country? It's not feasible.

Supplies don't grow on trees. And supplies aren't cheap. We cut teaching jobs because taxes won't pay for teachers, reading, AIS, and sports across America, but oh yeah, we're going to make cleaning supplies and masks available and it won't impact local finances...horse puckey. This is a planned disaster.

So chemicals everywhere. No socializing. Co2 poisoning.

They do look like they are in prison. Only thing that I can see is it will be difficult to bully anyone now since kids can’t be close or talk to each other.

As long as they know how to read and do basic math they are ahead of the curve. Get some workbooks. 2 hours a day is plenty. Then take them to the library to instill a love of reading and get them outside in nature. Have everyone participate in making dinner. That’s home ec right there. Enjoy your kids and family time. And enjoy no indoctrination and no masks.

Only rich kids can do home schooling.
