Grocery store shortages again?

Have stopped going to regular grocery stores, prices there are hyperinflating now. Only buying bulk from Costco from now on to save money.

NOPE. Not where I am. Food is plentiful. The only things there seem to be a shortage of is Maid In China stuff like bikes, freezers, patio furniture, etc.

I've been shopping online because I don't want to deal with cray cray psychos in the stores. Amazon and my local grocery have had everything I need.

It comes and goes.

Some items are out more often than others or they get a shipment and it get's stripped away in a day.

Some items I see consistently low is Spam, canned tuna, pasta and pasta sauce.

Dried beans are hit and miss, depends on the time of month (tho rice has always been there).

Canned veggies are usually there but sometimes the "name brands" are out and you have to get store brand which usually isn't a big deal.

Our nearest Kroger get's shipment on Wednesday and put it out on Thursday. By Saturday, the good stuff is gone so we schedule our shopping for Thursday evening or Friday morning...usually.

Everything's good around me except rubbing alcohol.

Walmart & Meijer's in Michigan both had a very sparse supply of canned beans & TP. Hand wipes & bleach were no where to be found.

Today, for the first time in months, I was able to get a 120 pack of 9" paper plates.
Perdue chicken legs/thighs are .99 in family packs, and angus Beef Rib steaks are $10.99 a lb.
I went to the store to get a bottle of Listerine and some breakfast cereal and spent $138.00
The freezer I ordered on April 10th got here last Tuesday, Aug.4th, so I can lay in some serious stores.

My local wally was out of apples, yellow onions, garlic and paper towels. They are my only choice for groceries within 20 miles and they are the only ones that offer pick up for me.
I told my husband (he works on the road) to start picking up a pack of TP and paper towels when he gets his road groceries, because the great toilet paper rush is going to happen again.

I just attempted to place a pickup order with Walmart.

Total was $1081.

When I finally got the order placed, it was down to $645.
