Update: U.S. sending the USS Hershel "Woody" Williams (ESB-4) to the Eastern Med in the "very" near future. It arrived in Naples,Italy today for refueling before it heads to the Eastern Med to meet up with the Greek fleet.

Williams is attached to the U.S. 6th fleet. It is Lewis B. Puller-class expeditionary sea base, that carries Helicopters.

Hershel "Woody" Williams will be the first Navy ship other than the Littoral Combat Ship to deploy the Northrop Grumman MQ-8 Fire Scout rotary-wing UCAV.

Update: A total of 7 Turkish warplanes, of which two were armed, proceeded today with 7 violations of the national airspace in the southeastern Aegean.

In two cases there was involvement with Greek warships.
