Oh but you're wrong! I wasn't thinking about any verses at all. All I knew is I was in serious trouble and needed to pray and ask God for help. After it was all over with and I could breathe again, that's when the verse came into my mind. I didn't even know for certain it was from the Bible until I looked for it!

There was another time I woke from sleep because I needed to go to the bathroom. When I sat up, a terrible dizziness came over me. I was so dizzy I just knew I'd probably fall over if I were to try and stand. I called out aloud to God for help. Then, I felt a hand on my shoulder and the dizziness immediately left me. Since I was alone in the house at the time, there was no way it could've been the hand of a person. I then was able to make it to the bathroom and haven't experienced any more dizzy spells like that since. That, I believe, was an answer to my call to God for help.

So, you say it has nothing to do with God? Well, I believe it's the God of the Bible helping me out. If I'm wrong and it's some other God, I'm gonna stick with this One. This One answers prayers, even when there's no time to say a prayer, and has been there for me on numerous occasions over the years. It's so comforting to know when no other help is available, I can count on Him to be there for me. Thanks be to God!!

You literally said: Words then popped into my mind saying that God knows what you need before you ask Him. I looked it up and those words are recorded in Matthew 6:8. You can change your explaination to make yourself right all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that the words that popped into your head have nothing to do with G-d saving you.

If you are attributing Jesus to G-d it doesn't mean that G-d still isn't in charge of everything. The funny thing is that people from all faiths have their prayers answered no matter whom they pray too. G-d isn't petty and doesn't punish people based on them praying to a false god out of ignorance.

Yes, I did say that 'Words then popped into my mind ... ", but BEFORE I said that, I said 'I started breathing again!' So, those words never entered my mind until after I had resumed breathing. I probably wouldn't have even attributed it to God had those words not come to me. As I said, I knew I needed to pray but didn't have the time to utter one in my mind, so there's no way I could've said God answered my prayer.

So, who is this God I'm speaking of? It's the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Maybe it's not so good, as you put it, that people of all faiths have their prayers answered no matter whom they pray to. As for me, I couldn't even imagine praying to any other God. My God has been there for me time and time again. I could never so much as think of abandoning Him for another after all that He's done for me over the years. Sometimes I wonder why people, such as the Moslems, continue in their faith, which I believe to be a false one. If they actually experience things like I have, I can understand why they so adamantly refuse to abandon their 'Allah' as well.

I am 32, this may or may not be important to some of you.

I believe I just recieved a Dream from the Lord. I've been repenting of my habitual sins successfully (glory be to God) and seeking his face.

I dreamt: A storm is rumbling in the distance and the house is groaning from the wind. I check my Phone to see pop up storms not just growing in my area but all accross the Nation.

I get up and am disoriented needing the railing to get to Dads room.

I tell him, "I'm going to the Basement, this storm is getting bad." He replies "Have fun!" in a distant way from the darkness. I do not argue with him instead I leave him and head downstairs where I find the Porch sliding glass door open wide.

As I go to close this door I stop to look out into the storm. It is dark, the Wind is strong and the rain hits my face. When I close the door it only partailly holds back the storm. I am now certain the house will not withstand the storm as it instantly grows stronger.

I hurry for the basement, as I grab the door it resists my opening. I wrestle it open and closes against me, pushing me back with a gentle yet urging force. This feels odd for a door.

I eventually manage to slide past the door and down some steps when Now arms reach out from where the door is and grab me by my robe (I am now aware in this instance that I am in fact wearing a robe as the cloth is pulled tight against me when the fist balls it up) and I am thrown out of the Basement.

When I wake up all that came to mind was John 10:7 "Verily,verily I say unto you I am the door of the sheep."

And shame for not having tried harder to save Dad.

Pray for Jesus to soften your dads heart and to give him dreams of whats going to happen to him if he dies without Jesus as his Savior. Find a Holy Spirit filled group of people or church that prays and believes in prayer,(because they have seen their prayers answered), have them pray for your dads salvation:

turn your Dad onto quantum mechanics and let him see what the only kinda real (at this point) science shows, have him look into the golden ratio (fibonacci) and the mandelbrot set - show him how math yields beautiful patterns
