Kratom for pain relief? Help needed please
Hey yall, I am trying to find natural supplements to help my husband with his back pain re: bulging and herniated discs from his L5 to his C3, spinal stenosis, sciatica, and disc degeneration. He hasn't had problems in years and just recently due to his workload and physical demands around the house, is now in pain again.

I want to see if kratom will work for him and would really appreciate any help, input, experience, etc from those of you who have personal experience with it in regard to similar pain and injury that he is having. He would need something he can use at work without being sleepy or groggy.

Unfortunately we live in one of the few states where it's schedule 1 so I can't order samples or have anything shipped here, but the state line is a short drive. We will be vacationing there soon and can pick some up to try.

Can you recommend any gas station or head shop brands that are decent? I wanted to get some different kinds to try and see which works best for him before purchasing a larger amount.

Thanks

You end up with the side effects of opioid addiction.

You start with a low tolerance and it goes up quickly.

Don't do it.

Red vein is typically used for pain but can make one relaxed and those tend to be Bali, Maeng da, etc.
White and green vein are somewhat stimulant in low doses and can also help with pain some worth mentioning are Thai, malay, and there is also white and green maeng da.
Whichever you choose gas station and head shops are NOT the place you should get them from. Some smoke shops now do carry good brands like Club13, but I would suggest that you get that online. Start low with 2 to 4 tsp and go uo from there. Never heard of od ing from it but it will make one quite nauseous if dose is too hi...good luck

Re: Kratom for pain relief? Help needed please
Totally can be used for pain relief, however it’s addictive, I am actually tapering down from my addiction, went from 20grams a day to now I’m at 9grams a day and soon will be off. If you do start taking it, buy 3 different strains and use them on different days, 1 day red, 1 day green, 1 day white, this will help keep tolerance low, and if you can take a day or 2 off every week. You might try phenibut once a week to cycle with, def don’t use more than twice a week though and certainly not back to back. Take that in the morning and start low try to figure out your sweet spot in terms of amount, do not re dose, if you didn’t take enough, just wait until the next time you decide to try it again and incrementally increase. The stuff lasts for 18hours, so best to take in morning on empty stomach, it can take 2-4 hours to kick in. Also addictive so be cautious.

Thanks for your concern! He and I both are very familiar with addiction. He used to go to pain managment and get scripts and pain blocks every 3 months or so and it was horrible getting free from that. No way we will go down that road again whether it be big pharma or kratom.

This is intended for temporary natural use alternative to help his pain until we can get his back rehabilitated. He hasn't been in this type of pain for 12 years.

My wife was in a rear end accident years ago. The doctors can't really help with the remaining pain except by prescription nasty drugs.

She takes a teaspoon of Kratom mixed in yogurt a few times a week to help with the pain. It really helps her.

It works so good I purchased about 10 pounds of the red kratom in case it gets banned.

It’s harmless and doesn’t cause long term health issues, the only problem is it’s addictive and can be real hard to kick. You just have to weigh out your dilemmas, being addicted or being in pain.

A full tablespoon would be a lot, like 6grams, better to take 2 grams to start with and see how that works and then only increase by a gram until you find sweet spot, I’d say take no more than 4 in a single sitting every 4-6 hours. Try to hover around at most 12grams, preferably 9 a day. And def take days off or you’ll end up like me addicted! However I have decreased my intake substantially and will be off soon currently at 9 grams a day.

I take it everyday, what you want for pain is a red maeng da.

Generally speaking it goes like this:
Red-pain relief
White-an upbeat, strong energy
Green-a more mellow energy
Yellow-euphoria

I take a tablespoon dose at a time but I also mix strains, for example right now I'm taking one tablespoon comprised of red maeng da, green maeng da, and yellow maeng da, obviously at 1/3 tablespoon each.

It's very bitter, you can get gelcaps and either capsule it yourself or buy them ready to go.

I just do a toss and rinse, dump the powder in your mouth and "chase" it or you can mix it into orange juice or coffee.

It can make you nauseous taking it on an empty stomach so be aware of that. It helps with the pain a lot, I think. I have a bad back too. Really just give it a shot, if it doesn't work then nothing really lost.

Hope this helped you.hf

Kratom workds great...natural...and not the Opiod addiction. Start out moderate and continue to use in moderation...like anything else. But your best best are Kratom and CBD oil/cream.

Doctors won’t prescribe pain meds even for people coming home from hospital after operation (i know firsthand). Now with the covid world it must be horrible.

Its terribly unfortunate that we must try to “doctor” ourselves but this is what the medical corporatists and big pharma have done to us all!

High THC flower and CBD

I'm living with a completely blown out knee with cartilage damage from taking a bad step off a ladder. Soon after smoking I can move again without too much pain.

Kratom works much better in conjunction with opiates and does very little for me by itself
A little is better than nothing though

I don't need other pain meds with the THC and CBD combo

Heat then ice then heat and keeping moving and stretching between

Epsom salts baths and warm salt with a solvent as a warm compress. I warm the salt in a pan, wrap the salt in a hand towel, drop a couple tbs. of turpentine on it and keep it on where it hurts and is swollen for 5-10 minutes moving it around. Then wash the area with soap and water. That shit works great but smells and is flammable. So don't be a tard.

Tumeric helps a bit with swelling as well
I like golden milk

Here's salt with vinegar. I prefer the turpentine method though.

Agree with Catalyst.

I ruptured 2 discs a couple years back. Massively painful.

Now I take kratom when my back muscles are feeling on the verge of spasming. Usually 1/2tsp to 1tsp green vein in the daytime and red vein at night. I take a lot less than most people.

If it's really not hitting the pain, and it can be subtle, after 30 minutes, I'll take a little more.

It's quite helpful!
