Re: Kratom for pain relief? Help needed please
CBD
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76398339

Tried it and no success so far at alleviating pain but did help loosen up tight muscles. Thanks

High THC flower and CBD

I'm living with a completely blown out knee with cartilage damage from taking a bad step off a ladder. Soon after smoking I can move again without too much pain.

Kratom works much better in conjunction with opiates and does very little for me by itself
A little is better than nothing though

I don't need other pain meds with the THC and CBD combo

Heat then ice then heat and keeping moving and stretching between

Epsom salts baths and warm salt with a solvent as a warm compress. I warm the salt in a pan, wrap the salt in a hand towel, drop a couple tbs. of turpentine on it and keep it on where it hurts and is swollen for 5-10 minutes moving it around. Then wash the area with soap and water. That shit works great but smells and is flammable. So don't be a tard.

Tumeric helps a bit with swelling as well
I like golden milk

Here's salt with vinegar. I prefer the turpentine method though.
That dude has tons of natural remedies videos
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79082153

Oh wow, so sorry for your injury but at least you found relief that works and allows you to function! I'll take what you've recommended and pass it on to my husband. Epsom salts are something I totally forgot about! I will check out those videos aswell.

We pulled out the tens unit and have been using that with lidocaine patches and unhealthy amounts of ibuprofen. He used to have a weird water type machine that did hot and cold but I havent a clue where its gone!

Thanks again hf

Re: Kratom for pain relief? Help needed please
Totally can be used for pain relief, however it’s addictive, I am actually tapering down from my addiction, went from 20grams a day to now I’m at 9grams a day and soon will be off. If you do start taking it, buy 3 different strains and use them on different days, 1 day red, 1 day green, 1 day white, this will help keep tolerance low, and if you can take a day or 2 off every week. You might try phenibut once a week to cycle with, def don’t use more than twice a week though and certainly not back to back. Take that in the morning and start low try to figure out your sweet spot in terms of amount, do not re dose, if you didn’t take enough, just wait until the next time you decide to try it again and incrementally increase. The stuff lasts for 18hours, so best to take in morning on empty stomach, it can take 2-4 hours to kick in. Also addictive so be cautious.

Thank you for your help! Alternating sounds like a good idea. It is very easy for a nasty habit/addiction to creep up on you. Not planning on using it for a long amount of time so shouldn't be an issue for him.

Blessings, prayers, and strength to you during your taper hf
 Quoting: SweetB

That is an issue I should have mentioned as well, I use it for pain relief but also recreationally. So be mindful and do what works for you.

What I wanted to mention though is if you have a store you can get to that's dedicated to kratom you should go there instead of a corner store or something.

It's not only cheaper usually but you know what you are getting there, some gas station stuff has artificial stuff in it to make stronger.

Normal dose is 1-2 grams or 2-3 if you've been taking it for a while.

And finally, no problem, happy to help. It stinks hurting all of the time.

Agree with Catalyst.

I ruptured 2 discs a couple years back. Massively painful.

Now I take kratom when my back muscles are feeling on the verge of spasming. Usually 1/2tsp to 1tsp green vein in the daytime and red vein at night. I take a lot less than most people.

If it's really not hitting the pain, and it can be subtle, after 30 minutes, I'll take a little more.

It's quite helpful!

The point is that even so called natural stuff can be dangerous, so the criteria needs to be adjusted.

And Thailand made Kratom illegal due to common addiction issues.

Not saying it cannot be helpful but reminding it like any medication/substance needs maturity and caution to be optimally beneficial

Maeng Da red vein kratom works as well as a lortab for my constant arthritis from a back break. Go ahead and find edibles. Not just CBD. If it isn't legal, learn to make them. I use a dose of Kratom in the morning and an edible in the evening. No pills. No Tylenol or naproxen. Nature provides and I can work and play like normal.

Be careful.

Not sure if it is just the "gas station" version or if it is the same for pure leaf. I have both, but the easiest and most effective is K Chill blue shots.

However - it IS addicting as hell

It might be the combination of added ingredients they mix in that makes it so powerful. They have a sort of generic valium type ingredient that ppl in Russia use for depression. It is basically turbo charged Gabba that can cross the blood brain barrier. The effect is quite relaxing, euphoric almost, and somehow at right dosages gives some energy and wakefullness boost, but that is likely partly due to the pain control. I wake up with horrible arthritus and after a shot I can move and function.

The problem is you go from taking it a couple times a week, to every day, to several times a day. The withdrawal is similar to vicodin or percocet chills and nausea, with that weird crawling spine feeling.

It also slows down your digestive system and can cause constipation... which can be good short term if you have IBS or spastic colon where food goes through too fast. It reduces appetite too and I think part of that is you get time to digest the food you did eat.

So its a terrible toss up Does it work? Hell yes. Is it worth it? I don't know. The cost can get up there as it is 60 bucks for a box of 12 shots.

If you can get the pure leaf - do that. If you are desperate for relief, have the money, and don't care about addiction... try the K Chill blue. Maybe you have better will power.

Thanks Elevatorguy! Nature always provides, and it sounds like you found what works for you! That is great success, with a broken back?! Wow!

Since it's the most recommended I will definitely get him to try the Maeng Da red first off.

Most everything is illegal where I live, with CBD being the only exception. He tried the sublingual drops, gelcaps, gummies, and flower CBD but so far it has offered minimal relief other than muscle relaxation and decreased anxiety, and no pain relief for him.

I know how to make tons of different types of edibles, but we quit using THC a few years ago and really would rather not go that route at this time. I do appreciate you recommending it though, I know the benefits are much better as opposed to CBD alone, no denying that!

Sorry to hear this OP. Find/make some full spectrum cbd oil. There are caregivers who will supply you for free if you hunt hard enough. Mix it with good quality coconut oil and your body won't filter so much of the initial dose. You can also use it like that as a suppository, getting to work much more efficiently. Just syringe it into gel caps.

pain relief = red or green vein.

white is typically meant for energy and does't have the pain-relieving alkaloids in it in the concentration which the red vein has it.

Re: Kratom for pain relief? Help needed please
OP... I agree with what Don Draper said, best to get it online if you can.

Been taking it three years and I've seen no dependency or withdrawals.

Have much the same back problems, but in April a chunk broke off the herniated disc and jammed into a nerve root, I woke up one morning crippled and screaming in pain. I finally realized I needed to raise my dose, I began taking one tablespoon, level and measured, of Red Bali every two to four hours.

Finally got back surgery in July, surgeon wanted five days of no kratom before surgery. I ended up in the hospital for two days before surgery just for pain control, and an extra day in the hospital after same-day surgery.

I'm still recovering and back to the dosage that sustained me for 2 1/2 years.

I think all the tales of addiction and withdrawal come from people who take it for a high, then they take more and more to repeat that feeling. My opinion, taken at medicinal levels, it far less of a problem. I just haven't seen any problems myself.

The surgery only stopped the leg pain, I still have high intensity pain in the low back, and I'm left with a half numb foot.

Read the reviews for joint pain for ancestral supplements trachea product and their bone marrow product on bezozan.

Quercetin will help with the calcification.

A good plant based calcium/magnesium like bone strength by naturelo would be helpful.
