i was unloading tons of trash at the compactor as it is my job. it takes 15 minutes to unload. this guy yelled at me for doing my job last night....said I was in the way. guess i won't be picking up his trash anymore.

Speaking of trash, the homeless guys are more aggressive too. They yell at you if you look at them the wrong way or don’t give them money. Everybody is getting bolder, now that they feel something is coming.

Great movie that portrays the aggression we are witnessing today. Those with no compassion and discipline will be taken over by demons. I’ve a feeling all those zombie movies made through the years were pointing to our near future.

It is not just me, then. The cyclists have always been jerks, but, they are getting really nasty. And I have had cars join in. It is scary. They snarl and growl and say they are going to call the police on me for trying to cross the street in a crosswalk. I am not kidding.

I was crossing the street and as I got close to the other side to get to the curb, a cyclist in the car lane looked at me and said (face forward of course, away from me. They do that to intimidate you) "Bikes passing." and about ten of them violated my right of way. I objected to it and the car driver in the car lane snarled out of his window that I should let them go first because they are "just children." They are about twelve vehicles going through and only about four were ridden by children. Car drivers and cyclists ordering me to stand in the middle of the street in front of motor vehicles. And there have been other things like this, too. Crazy. They think I am evil for legally crossing the street and they can order me not to.

I have just stopped walking as much as possible. They are literally menacing me.

Yeah there’s no respect among people living in the cities. It’s crazy.

Square up on me and the best possible outcome is you will get is OC spray. The worst is a 147 grain 9mm JHP. I won't trade words or argue. I am too old to fight anymore.

I am not claiming to be some badass or anything like that. Just pointing out that someone you might think is a pushover or a easy mark will "cheat" to win.

Does it stay in your pocket when you draw or does it require two hands to remove it from the hoster?

Im just curious because I would like to have another way to carry without a belt.

I would like to carry my pistol with me, but I think I would just lose control and shoot the wrong person. I guess I’ll just wait until things get more crazy first.

Good point. That’s why I usually try to avoid a fight unless it’s inevitable. I’m not gonna walk around with my head between my knees, but I’m not looking for a fight either. But some people are just itching to start something with you.

I carry IWB because that's how i shoot at idpa. So I have a lot of practice drawing from it. But yeah I don't take it off till I go to sleep. Then I have a 9mm carbine next to the bed.

I agree! That's why I carry a sidearm and OC spray. I also have self defense insurance in case I have to defend myself.

If you get in with some good people and get some training you will learn never to use your firearm unless necessary and how to use it effectively. I suggest it.

Basically last night went down like this:

This biker rode around the corner and stared at me for a full 10 seconds and I stared straight back at him. Then he parked his bike and walked over to smoke a cigarette. At this point I was getting ready to leave for my pizza delivery. I had my windows rolled down to save gas (it was only 80 degrees yesterday). He bent down and looked at me without saying anything. I turned over and asked him, “you need something?” He said “so, what’s going on with your...” I cut him off and said “I work here. You don’t bother me, I don’t bother you.” He smiles and replies, “i just want to compliment you on your spiderman decals”. I said “go buy one for yourself”. He’s like “I’m talking about your car, not the pizza.” I repeated “then go buy one for yourself.” He said, “are you coming hard at me bro?” I said, “don’t talk to me man”. Then he started cussing and I cussed back as I drove off.

The way gun laws are written it’s hard to use your gun for anything but self defense. It’s frustrating how someone can break your car throw things at your house, do all manner of harassing things to you and still not cross that line. I’m planning to hit the shooting range this Saturday. Gotta sharpen your my marksmanship.

On a side note, it’s usually the wimps of society who lash out at people these days. They need to prove their worth because they know they’ve been having it easy up to this point. Real tough people wouldn’t lose their cool so easily. They have been through some shyt and know how to handle themselves. It’s the temperamental wimps I’m worried about, because they have no filter.

When we are wearing masks we can't see the other person's whole face. Humans are social creatures who are used to seeing another person's facial expressions. When faces are blocked by masks we can become more aggressive and less trusting of others.

It relates to a very basic understanding of the Art of War. In prison; people have all sorts of things happen to them, so they're deathly afraid of those things happening to them... Again!

Thus the need to project being "tough" because they're really scared.

Prison is a place filled with vulnerable people, where people suffer unconscionable acts against them over drugs or other debts.

Fear can cripple people more than anything else.

Oh Lord..chicago...i lived in Toledo five years ago and noticed the blacks getting increasingly nasty to my family...i lived in a mixed area...i moved south to a rural area on 55 Acres in n.e.alabana and never looked back. We are safe..for now. I hope you have a bug out plan.
