By 1968 though, by the time of the convention, the party was already in the process of swinging far left. LBJ knew the writing was on the wall. The far left wanted his head on a pike for Vietnam. Hence his exit from the stage. |

If you read the Communist Party USA website, you'll see they frequently (90% +) mirror positions that the Democrats have, and they endorse most of the Democrats running for office. We should have ended the Soviet Union (and Communism along with it) immediately as a last push of WWII, but we didn't, and they went to work on us right away. Infiltrating the Democrat Party was easy peasy and over the years they have now taken it over completely. Their first real achievement was to take over the colleges. Their hold was finally established in the mid to late 70's and has only gotten worse since then. The fact that they don't even hide their nature or intentions anymore speaks volumes and confirms what McCarthy was on about all those years ago.
