"(KUTV) — A man who attacked one person with a sledgehammer and then another adult and children with his fists, is at large in Payson, Utah. Police in the city request residents to shelter in place.

Police said the man was attacking a person in the area of 600 East, 500 North in Payson. A woman walked out of her home, that is also a daycare, and witnessed the person being struck in the head and body with a sledge hammer. The woman called out to stop the attack. The person with the sledgehammer then turned his attention to the woman and walked toward her home daycare.

"The suspect proceeded to strike the children and another adult with his fists then fled the area," according to police.

The first victim was taken by air for medical treatment but his condition is unknown. The children are receiving medical treatment at press time for "various injuries." Parents have been notified.

the trailer in question came back all clear, no association, however, from the vid, and my personal history of being a fucking druggie, i would say he was prolly tweeking anyways.

what is really crazee is as I listened to the scanners, just because, so many reports came in from all parts of towns, of subject, or subjects fitting the description, and then a half a dozen officers en route to said destination. Varied reports of a second possible associate with no shirt and tattooed, and this, that and the other, everyone was trying to do their part and call in info, but it seemed to actually detract from the actual apprehension of the subject. The reports of a possible second associate related, are still unfounded.
