THIS INCLUDES ALL PUBLICLY-TRADED FINANCIAL MARKETS: WHETHER MAXIMALLY, OR MINIMALLY "RIGGED". GIANT STORY. Thank you OP. jk |

Now he is investing in it. What this says is he no longer has faith in the US economy and is parking his money in a rock. In other worlds, he believes the economy is going to collapse. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76953217 Once the free money the govt's are handing out to everyone runs out; the economies collapse shortly thereafter ..... or alternatively; if govt's are going to keep giving out free money to everyone to keep the economies from imploding; the currencies get destroyed ..... Gold flies under either scenario. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78811053 United States 08/14/2020 05:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's a huge signal. He knows the gig is up and that the us economy is toast. I see it everywhere and I'm just a poor working man. Everyone is way over leveraged in debt, and it all trickles thru the economy. When it costs 200 dollars for a basic grocery order in a small Midwest town, like it did me today, it's all just about done. |

I see everyone driving around shiney cars and 60 thousand dollar trucks, and paying high mortgages in decent homes, with high electric bills, and high rent on apartments, etc.. The only answer is that all these people are way in over their heads in debt. Debt, debt, and more debt. If the loans stop coming, it crashes and burns. If they keep printing and loaning, it crashes thru inflation, and eventually burns. Either way it will all burn. |

Haym Salomon "From the period of 1781–84, records show Salomon's fundraising and personal lending helped provide over $650,000 in financing to George Washington in his war effort." 16.9 Billion in 2020 Dollars. "In August 1781, the Continental Army had trapped Lieutenant General Charles Cornwallis in the Virginian coastal town of Yorktown. George Washington and the main army and Count de Rochambeau with his French army decided to march from the Hudson Highlands to Yorktown and deliver the final blow. But Washington's war chest was completely empty, as was that of Congress. Without food, uniforms and supplies, Washington's troops were close to mutiny. Washington determined that he needed at least $20,000 to finance the campaign. When Morris told him there were no funds and no credit available, Washington gave him a simple but eloquent order: "Send for Haym Salomon". Salomon raised $20,000, through the sale of bills of exchange. With that contribution, Washington conducted the Yorktown campaign, which proved to be the final battle of the Revolution." MlCHAEL |

The ETFS like GDX, GDXJ, SIL, and SILJ can be good pickups as are some individual miners like Warren bought (GOLD) Barrick. Research your own. This is not financial advice. Go look Up Yield Curve Control. It’s on the St Louis Fed website even. We will be going sharply negative on interest rates and cash is going to get hammered over the next few years. Get some gold and silver before you can’t get any. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76953217 I don’t think he thinks it’s going to collapse or he would have bought physical gold instead of gold miners. He is recognizing that big time inflation is on the way and negative rates are going to cause gold to go on the same kind of bull run it went on in the 70s. So holding a gold miner who digs the stuff out of the ground at cost and sells it is about to become an incredibly lucrative business. Profit margins are going to be skyrocketing. |

Buffett isn't what he used to be 20+ years ago...it seems almost every thing he touches in the last 10-12 years turns to shit. |
