I'm just wondering, earlier this year was hectic for the USA with all them natural disasters occuring... it seemed for sure TSHTF... but where did it all go??

We're below average on everything these past few months... does everyone remember how cold it got this summer, especially around the Great Lakes and New England. It was hot a few days, but fall-like most.

Right now we should be having hurricanes and tornadoes, forest fires, etc... but where are they???

Should we be worried?

Heck, here in Ontario we haven't had a tornado since June. Only 3 confirmed tornadoes this year in our province, the average is 15-20. Also, we had no spring time floods, no late winter storms, no snowsqualls.

I wonder what this winter will bring for the continent.

I live near the Great Lakes and it wasn't cold here. We had beautiful weather all summer. It was hot and very little rain. We could have actually used more rain than we got, but it was a great summer. I ran my AC almost all summer because it was so hot and humid.

While I'm not a great fan of this site, it will give you a run down on current incidents...

Are you blind OP or just concerned about the US? Perhaps you should read/listen to the WOLRD news and not just the US Media. India,China Japan ect have gone through major weather just this past week. Earthquakes in Peru and Indonesia, volcano in Yemen and a bloody iceberg in South Africa and 15000 wildbeest dead in annual migration ... the list just keeps growing

Don't worry I have been... it's just more GLPers live in North America so I focused more on N.A.

I know about the cataclysmic floods plagueing the continents this year... plus I know half the Arctic ice has melted in the last 2 years.

This is just more home based.

Kick back and be thankful for our good fortune. That way you'll be rested and ready when TSHTF again soon.

There are natural disasters daily.

However, nothing cataclysmic.

Sorry.

yes. a dismal hurricane season by all predictions.

this happens when chaotic systems 'flip' into a new stable metastable state. That is, an equilibrium has been reached - if the warming continues, there will be another chaotic period leading to another metastable climate state.

of course this is only local - probably taiwan and west pacific would disagree with you this year on the disaster scale.
