NE TX Here... First Week of Home School Done
3 Kiddos and HOLY SHIT.

Last fall after spring break lockdown online shit was a fuckin' breeze....

NOW..

My son (oldest 9) had about 5 different sites to log in, plus uploading and emailing pictures and videos.

My daughter (6)....has had to print out about 80 pages of shit this week.

Other daughter (4, starting pre-k)...multiple videos have to record a day of her doing various shit like writing her name or finding shit I buried in sand or learning a retarded dance off of YT..

each kid takes about 4-5 hours per day to get their shit done....so I'm online or filming about 15 hours a day...

on top of that... ink cartridges....at the rate we've set out with I'm going to have to buy 2 sets per month.

PLUS....any of the multiple daily videos I have to upload have to be in either .MP4 or .mov format.........both my phones, both my cameras and my webcam only record in .mkv or .avi...

SO...everything I fucking record, I have to save to my computer, then run through a video converter before I can upload them...

If I have to print out 20 pages per day...I have to take a picture of every single page to upload separately...

'I' am currently going to elementary school for about 16-17 hours per day....

2-3 more weeks and my college classes start....with a ton of extra online work.

At the moment, I'm looking at around 2 hrs sleep per night starting soon.

Parents need to push back. Or look towards other online programs. Most public school systems are designing their curriculum to be strenuous on parents so that they don't realize the lack of need for 90% of the b.s. going on in those so-called schools.

Just my opinion.

So you want others to share in the cost of education for your children is what you're saying.

It takes a village is what Hillary said.

That's communism aka public school taxes.

Lemme guess you're going to complain about having to raise your children on Facebook now you don't get the coddling you wanted here on GLP.

Umm...never said or implied any of that..

It's just bullshit...I know damn well they're not doing this much shit at their elementary school..

I've sat in with my kids on previous years....they do a few pages of work, do an activity or two in 'center' time...have PE, recess, lunch, nap, teacher reads a story...done..

I'm doing like 12-17 assignments a day per kid, some up to 20 pages each, plus activity videos.

I literally have less homework in college as a nursing student than my 1st grader does.

I homeschooled my 2 kids.

Took 2-3 hours a day, Max.

Got more done than the schools did.
