Thread: Need prayers for my nieces 10 month old daughter 104 fever no way to hospital

Praying for all here and adding my voice to all of ours asking for God's healing and the miracles he performs here for so very many.

God please help the frightened mother, Linda, her baby Amelia, and continue to be with DMJ as he must deal with the death of his wife's mother in his own time of illness.

I have a prayer request for a coworker whom I shall call 'Wes', mainly because that's his name, who somehow developed a detached retina in his left eye and he has just emailed he will be calling his eye Doctor this morning.

He moved his daughter home from college yesterday and didn't realize his injury until today.

Please add Wes to your prayers for restoration of his vision and a quick recovery.

She's having a hard time with it today.

And right on cue, two siblings, are starting crap. Man it hasn't even been a day and the ugly has shown up.

I've seen many dead people, seen people die.
It never hit me this hard before.

For some reason I'm felling like I didn't maybe do enough.
Like I could have drove faster, or I should have kicked that damn locked door in. I just fell I could have dome a little more.

I know it wouldn't have changed anything, this felling just came over me and I can't shake it.

We have all felt that and it is a normal reaction of a loving person.

But it was up to God that it was her time, and while that doesn't make it easier, it means it was her time. You could not change that.

Now your wife needs your strength and you both our prayers.

Yes, we went through this when my mother died. My 2 elitist vulture brothers from Florida, flew in from their exclusive gated communities immediately, (yes, they are quite well off, having married multi-millionaires), to go through my mothers house and find anything of value.They changed the locks on my mothers house as soon as they got here, denying access to myself and my children.Three days later they let me in. Everything in the house had been rifled through, and they didn't find anything of value.My oldest brother called me over to where he was sitting, going through a box of worthless papers, and handed me a change purse with $2.83 cents in change, and said,"Well, we have to give you something".

As an EMT and former Auxiliary Police Officer, I saw my share of dead and dying people. The worst was the Cline Avenue Bridge disaster. I was the 2nd unit to arrive at the scene, right after the 2nd section fell.

You can't beat yourself up over this. As we were frantically digging out the trapped workers, we were hoping to save as many as possible. We concentrated our efforts on one guy in particular, working as fast as we could by hand, to no avail.He was dead when we got him out. A head injury killed him. He had no other visible injuries except for the head injury. We put his body on a stretcher, and took him to a waiting rig.

Things are meant to be for a reason.I really wish I could have been next to my husband when he took his last breath, the morning he died.I had checked on him a couple of hours before, and he had no change, so I went back to sleep.We figure he died right after I had checked on him, and fell back asleep. I was inconsolable for quite a long time, really beating myself up over this. You are not alone in this, DMJ. We are here for you, my friend !

She was the last parent or elder, There are none left. That may have something to do with it.

I read through all your posts and I know what you mean. When my husband lost both his parents, it changed him for a while. He said that he felt like an orphan and I had to really go out of my way to comfort him and assure him he still had a loving family that was not going anywhere.

I still have my dad left, but I know he will not be here for long. He is 89 and his age is really starting to show.

If your wife's siblings are acting up right now, just make sure that you give her extra love and support. The bad sibling behavior stuff happens in just about every family. Hopefully it will straighten out.

Keeping you and your wife in my prayers and praying the family will come together.
