Please tell your daughter to be on the lookout anyway.My 1st husband was extremely abusive. I got a restraining order on him, and not only did it not stop him, the local police would not honor it because they said it was from the county court and not the city court from the city I live in. My late ex had a lot of political pull, and that piece of paper didn't mean anything to him. The harassment and stalking didn't end until he died years ago.

Thank you so much everyone for the prayers and good advice. I will definitely pass it on to her and make sure she follows through.

My middle daughter, Elizabeth, and her boyfriend got their car totaled this afternoon. They got lucky as their injuries are not too bad.Elizabeth pulled several muscles in her back, and her boyfriend injured his knee. They were released from the hospital a couple of hours ago. Elizabeth will not be able to work for several days. She is in a lot of pain.

The accident was not her fault, but now she is without a car. Hopefully, the other driver, who was completely at fault, has insurance.

She has to pick up the police report in a couple of days. The driver is from out of state, which might complicate things.

Oh no, not another one! Thank God she is going to be okay, but I know the frustration now going on with no car.

She and all here are in my prayers.

PLEASE have her get a decent attorney to represent her interests in this. Even if the other driver doesn't have insurance hers can cover her injuries but that will require a lawyer for the largest settlement she can receive for her pain and suffering.

I'm not being a greedy S.O.B. I am crippled behind an uninsured driver and inadequate insurance coverage for myself when the other driver was found to be without insurance and with 68 previous judgments against her all unpaid thereby making her judgement proof.

I can honestly state and still mean it four years later, I wish I would have disarticulated one of her legs, both of which had compound Tibia and Fibula fractures and were barely hanging on by tissue and beaten her to death with it.

Instead I did the right thing and in court when I did not need to testify against that human trash, I said to her "Please heal and be well." I meant it, but that doesn't mean I will ever forgive her.

Please have your daughter contact your family lawyer or find a good one to represent her. Both her and the other drivers insurance have neither right nor business looking at her medical records and they will want her to sign a release do so.

This is ridiculous ! My oldest was rear ended a few months ago, and had that terrible accident 3 years ago. Now her sister gets injured by an idiot driver.
I am waiting for my turn, as it has been 13 years since I had my Buick totaled with the kids in the car.I am long overdue, and have had several cars totaled over the years. My youngest wasn't hurt in my last accident, but the daughter that got her car totaled yesterday, got whiplash.I had whiplash, and broke my hip in the accident 13 years ago.
I thank God that my daughter and her boyfriend were not seriously injured yesterday.
Honestly, when I got the call, it gave me flashbacks to when my oldest daughter had that terrible accident 3 years ago.

I got a lawyer list for her, some of the top lawyers in my area.Elizabeth was in terrible pain last night. The ER gave her prescriptions for muscle relaxers and real strong pain meds. I feel so bad for my daughter.Her and her boyfriend were going out to eat. She had got off work at 3:30, went home and changed. Family was watching her 4 kids so Elizabeth and her boyfriend could go out to a peaceful dinner for just the 2 of them. She drove her car,instead of her boyfriend driving his, as she wanted to get her car washed on the way. She keeps her car meticulously clean. They left the car wash, and were on the road, on their way to a restaurant, when a few blocks away from the car wash, an idiot come flying out of a grocery store parking lot, and BOOM !!!

Elizabeth is a manager at one of the stores in the local grocery chain in our area. After her and her boyfriend were discharged from the ER and my youngest took her home, I took the paper from the hospital to her workplace, and the Head manager made a copy.She will definitely not be able to work the rest of the week. They all freaked out at the store, including the head manager. Elizabeth had got off work at 3:30 and her car was totaled at 5:15.They had all just seen her, and then this happened.

I have messaged Elizabeth, but I have not heard back from her yet. The doctor in the ER told her the pain medicine will knock her out, so she is probably sleeping.

Update:

My daughters boyfriend is doing OK. His knee is a little sore, but other than that, he is fine.
My poor daughter Elizabeth is in a world of pain.She hurts from one end to another and her back is killing her. FTR, she was driving.She is so miserable.
What is really weird, is that the air bags never deployed in her car, even though the car is totaled ! It was a newer Nissan. They should have deployed since the front end of her car is smashed up!
OTOH, she said she is glad they didn't, as she remembers when my oldest had her terrible accident 3 years ago, and got injured by the air bags, besides from the wreck itself.

Praying for all...seems like this Mercury retrograde has done in a few people! Still 6 more days of it as well. MY mishap (or whatever you want to call it) on Saturday, my son needed stitches on Sunday then his mother totalled their F250 hydroplaning it into a ditch, it is a write off (no idea what kind of insurance she has)but she only has a few bumps and bruises.

Praying for continued healing for your daughter tiger1 and relief from pain, for your healing too Lance, and for the recovery of your son's mom and of him. Please take care of yourself.
