Today is like this for me. Their god is not our God

Psalm 139
19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

It all goes back to the garden, the tree that brought death or there is the tree of life!
How could some choose wrong still O God?

Daniel 2

So serious HalleluYah here! My brother is coming home and they gave him ivermectin in the hospital!!!! They're learning. Sister in law is doing much better, sister is as well, but she's still on oxygen until next week probably.

They had different doctors at the same hospital. So pleased with my brother's doctor and displeased with my sister's doctor. But thankful that my family has turned the corner!!

Good morning to all. Well Afternoon now, I started this post at 6:30 AM. All of you have been in my prayer.

It was necessary for me to take off a few weeks from GLP as the pure hatred poured out in The Hurricane IDA thread and a few others' thread's was not something I needed exposed to.

I have also been busy with trying to salvage my home mortgage behind the predatory mortgage processor my bank sold the mortgage to, so that also has kept me rather busy as I have been my own lawyer through this with much prayer and God's grace behind me.

I pray you all are well; I shall try catching up on the twenty or so pages I have missed in this thread since I last was on it.

If I'm lucky, I may even have a chance to fix breakfast before 4:00 PM today; I'm not complaining about my work, 'just very grateful for the job I have maintained since the COVID struck.

Work still needs me, so off I must go again.

I tend to dig for things. I'm having an issue with the idea of the 'church' itself, as are others from what I can decode from the spats. One of the basics of my job skillsets is that Form should follow function. But applying that to the Church in any manner brings up a whole heap of theological rubble. SO who knows!? There is one common denominator. And oddly it is the most used Ortho prayer.

No one understands aside from me, how far this drifts from my stance. But, it is calming. It is outside of varying traditions. It spans it all. But (via my olde skool Wiccan training) it is a rather hard thing to utter when I'm 5 years into celibacy and trying my best. But that is for me to eat.

I think that simple prayer might negate a lot of theological arguments. Hence I hold it in high regard. I've been pondering this since the 'great prayer thread blowout'. If I can eat that prayer and state it...pretty much anyone can. I'm trying to find the 'Catholic' in the meaning of Universal rather then Papist blah de blah.

A long time ago, someone said to me, "May you have enough." I thought it was a lovely sentiment. Then my husband said, "That's like a curse" and conversation ensued. So people can certainly receive the same words differently.
