If you could please add Hayden to your prayers, I'd appreciate it. He's facing false allegations (truthfully false!) And he's being railroaded by the system. They want a plea deal, but he's innocent according to the victim cited and himself. It's a mess. Court is on Monday.

He had physical therapy today and that went well! He was in a funk though early in the day--He unfortunately took that doctor's words to heart...but I really think your prayers are working, because he cheered up as the day progressed!

I went to the grocery store while the home health care aide was here--shopping habits are reverting to pandemic style, as I am limited in the time I can go out. He really can't be left alone for more than about 30 minutes and today he didn't want to be left alone at all.

Please pray for the students, parents and teachers at the high school near us that had an intruder who was shot dead. I made a thread about it but I am not good at thread/reply links. That had to be so traumatizing for all concerned. The school has a national reputation for excellence--author James Patterson sent one of his children there--a son, if memory serves--and donates $50,000 a year towards their arts programs so that students can perform at the nearby Kravis Center--Prism it is called and it is one of the most beautiful Christmas concerts held for the past 7 or 8 years--and they actually perform music celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ as well as J music also.

Numerous celebrities have held workshops for students and they have had partnerships with Scripps and other companies to cultivate the sciences as well--it is named for Alex Dreyfoos, who contributed at least $1 million to the school. He invented a photographic process and became a self-made millionaire. He frequently visits the school (so I've heard)....

Their academic programs are rigorous, and students must audition in their arts major to attend---coming from all over Palm Beach County.

That school's theatre where the shooting took place is used by other schools, including elementary level, for their music concerts and other events. About 10 years ago the school went through a tragedy when a mother killed herself and her two children who attended the school. Sorry--don't mean to derail, but I know a lot of people associated with this school through the years in various capacities and it breaks my heart that such a tragedy occurred.

I have been trying to focus on the Love of Jesus Christ for us that He endured so much for our sakes. That His Love is more powerful than any fears or anxieties we suffer--to let go of the fear and let God's Love into our hearts. Not saying it's been easy--I get stuck in a loop of anxiety and fear that will magnify and overwhelm me if I let it. (Trying not to let my anxiety take over this weekend as I am dreading/fearing getting blindsided on Monday at work...

I have been trying to focus on the small successes and give thanks for those. I used to read the writings of St. Teresa of the Little Flower who emphasized taking joy in the small, seemingly mundane things in life...that we have blessings here and now and focus on those, rather than lamenting the things we don't have (like a garage, in my case--I really would like to have one for a bunch of reasons)....

Hope this isn't too long....I believe writing things out like this is helpful and I appreciate you all writing as well. Praying my husband doesn't try to get up again tonight as he was sort of sleepwalking last night when he fell out of bed--didn't actually walk as he slipped/fell out as he sat up in bed...I blocked it off and have ordered a second bed rail that slides under mattress to keep him more secure.

Love to you all!! Praying for all the needs posted that the Holy Spirit touches those lives and gives everyone more faith to trust that God's Will is Perfect and to not have it be empty words, but to mean it when I pray "not my will, but Thy Will Be Done."

Bastetecat I hope all goes well with your husband and your stress is reduced after the trash was taken out at the local high school near you.

I'm glad the threat was permanently removed from the area.

I always feel gui8lty if I ask for prayer for myself, yet this week I must ask.

When I retunes home form my Thursday doctor appointment, I fell from the truck four feet to the cement. That is why I have been away.

My knees were only beginning to have heal from a fall down the brick stairs at our old home in November. Now I must hold and maneuver the kneecaps back into place if I try to stand or bend my knees.

Any possibility of knee or hip surgery is eleven months away behind my heart surgery.
