I have found I have to log out, then restart my computer and log back in...sometimes even logging out a second time after restart before it works. But it works after that!

So many are struggling and feeling lost, but God's hand is always here, holding onto us and protecting us from worse.

I'm requesting prayers for one of my sisters. She's going through much-needed rehab and all of the mental and spiritual anguish that entails. I sobered up at 37 and it was no picnic then. She's 68 and can't understand why neither I nor any human power can swoop in to save her. She needs the ocean wave of prayer power our prayer warriors can deliver.

My thoughts are with all that are in need here,,, I do visit here every day.

At the moment I feel we need to be in our bunkers and really Praying for Good to overcome Evil.

How is your sister?? I noticed she is well...erm Mature and going through re-hab!! This at her age is a difficult journey. May I ask a little background. I see YOU also went through rehab... It seems there is a lot of `dark` history here.

How are you doing? Is this resonating with you? How worried are you for your sister??

She's in a good in-patient facility that doesn't treat recovery like a country club and she's starting want to want sobriety. She's finally realized that "doing it my way" might have worked for Frank Sinatra, but usually not for getting sober. It's harder for her because she IS older. I have a friend who sobered up in his late 70s, but that's hardly the norm.

I'm doing well. Of course, it resonates with me because I know first-hand how difficult it is to have to rewire your whole way of life. But I also know how blessed I am to have been sober since 1988 and my main contribution to her has to be to remind her and show her that it's a good life and that sobriety really is better -- and that no one can do it for her, even if they want to.

Our upbringing was amazingly good considering we were raised by an alcoholic and a codependent. They did what they could with what they had, and there was never any abuse or mistreatment. We were just wired that-a-way. Genetics can be a hard hurdle to leap. Our youngest sister has always just been an enthusiastic amateur and, yes, she does appreciate how fortunate she is.

I have been having a lot of trouble getting to GLP and other websites lately. Sometimes I have no problem, and sometimes I can't even get to 1 web page. I have not been on GLP since earlier today, even though I tried several times. It wasn't a glitch with GLP, I think it was Comcast's issue.

My little stinker grandson Robbie, got into a lot of trouble the other day. I won't even elaborate, but he has to go to court on September 9th. Prayers needed that he can get the treatment he needs, to turn his life around. He is 16.
