My nephew Matthew, my brother Kenny's only child, is currently in the hospital, for medical, and a 72 hour psych hold. He has been using hard drugs and drinking, and is truly a danger to himself and others. Kenny found out Matthew had a gun a few weeks ago, and took it away from him. Matthew lost his current job for not showing up at work, or showing up whenever he felt like it. I pray that Matthew gets locked up for a very long time. I have warned all family, that if Matthew gets out after the 72 hour hold, that if he shows up at their homes, to call the cops. Matthew went berserk again, but this time he threw a remote at my brother, grabbed a kitchen knife, and ran out of the house. He went down the street to the park and cut himself. My brother called the cops, and the cops grabbed Matthew at the park, and called an ambulance. There is so much more. The cops have been at Kenny's numerous times because of Matthew. As a parent she kept taking him back in and trying to help him, but finally she has realized he cannot come back home. Tough love is hard and especially when the addict gets violent. Matthew is a vengeful person, and Kenny is afraid he will burn his house down. I pray that Matthew is kept locked up, for everyone's safety. Matthew and Kenny were here on Thanksgiving. I did notice that Matthew didn't really want to interact with anyone, and he was more "off" than usual. The rest of the family here were having a great time, eating and yakking up a storm ! Lots of laughter and happiness ! NO ONE has gone to the hospital to check on Matthew. We figure since Kenny isn't even allowed any info, none of us would either. We are all being vigilant, as there is a good possibility that Matthew could be released tomorrow night. I got 2 hours of sleep last night, between worrying about Kenny, and a bad cold/sinus infection that I have. I am not worried about me, but Kenny is definitely at the top of my list. God is in control, but I got to do my part on my end, in this potentially very dangerous situation. Please keep the prayers coming, my Friends ! Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |
