Prayers to understand understanding.

1 John 5
...
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
...
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

Re: Prayer Thread Part 3.
Please keep my wife in your prayers, she is having a very difficult time behind pain, being 'trapped' at home, and today she spent one-half hour yelling about being bothered by ghosts in our home.

She is constantly discouraged and depressed and any effort by me to help is only met by swearing, insults, and threats. I only bought this home because she wanted it and now she blames me for buying it.

I pray for her and us daily, she hates this home and has chosen to live in a place dark and bereft of hope of her own making and is resistant to anything positive or good in our lives.

I have never met someone that chooses to be miserable and strives to make those around her the same way; she has gradually grown to be this way the past ten years, destroying anything good we have and only insulting any work I have done until being injured, and we have been together close to thirty years. All because she hates this home and I am now unable to do many if not most home maintenance tasks.

I love her but behind ten years of nothing but insults and injuries from her I'm almost at the point where I wish we win just so I can give her half of any award so she can just go away to anywhere else but near me and not be miserable here, blaming me for everything she dislikes, and not be around to attack anything and everything I like.

edit to add: At least she has finally moved on to swearing about babies being disgusting, calling people that have children 'sick'. I'm really in an uphill battle here, if not our home or myself being attacked, she'll find something else, at least for now it's not directed at me.
I really don't have any tools to handle that behavior, any effort at helping her or to even talk with her results in her getting angry. Please keep her in prayer to be able to cope until we have won our lawsuit and I may sell the home, which I love, so she can have some peace and I don't hear her complaints any longer even if it means she leaves.

Quiet alone is better than accompanied by someone that's hateful at all times and towards everyone.

Re: Prayer Thread Part 3.
Prayers needed.

My house hunting has not been going well. Anything that is within my price range, and way above, needs a lot of work, some of them need as much work as this house and they are selling for big bucks because of the influx from across the state line in Illinois. One house I looked at was $180,000 which is way out of my price range, and it needed a lot of work.My income is low, and that limits my financial ability to secure another place, even though I have good credit.
So, I am at an impasse. I am seriously thinking about just repairing this huge old house. I could probably get the really needed things done for half of the cost of a house that is currently on the market that needs work too.My oldest daughter has expressed interest in moving back in with me, as her house might be sold by the landlord. My home is really too big for one or two people, but it is paid for, which is an advantage.
I need prayers for discernment and guidance. I genuinely love this big old house, and am so torn on what to do.

Prayers for you. Maybe it would be possible to rent out a room to a little old lady on social security and you could use those funds to pay for repairs?

If it's a large house and you love it that may be a way to be blessed with funds for repairs.

Many blessings to you and yours.

You are in my prayers, perhaps having your daughter at home can help. If you own your home it may be better to repair it vs. move. I pray for God to guide you in your decisions ands present you with a solution.

Thank you for all your prayers, praying for Tiger1 and all here.

I'm doing okay, am finding myself in less pain from having stopped the damaging prescription anti-inflammatory meds and following a different regimen.

I love my wife, I'm just not happy with the complaining--the stress of the court battle and [I hope] her worry about me needing surgery and being handicapped at this time are likely really 'getting to her', and I'm just the nearest target.

Today I was pain free. Even my Mrs. commented on how I could get up without screaming in pain and I helped carry in groceries from the truck when she got home from the store and made dinner for her.

First great day like this in weeks.
