AMEN !!!

I need prayers for my sister. I think she has an intestinal obstruction due to adhesions like she had years before. She is dehydrated, in pain and the ER is overwhelmed and keeping her in the hallway to treat her...it took hours for her to just get a hallway bed!!!

I know that if the intestines get too strangled that she can get perforated and she will become septic, so I tried to get her moved to a hospital closer to my neck of the woods. However, my cousin said all ER's are overwhelmed here too.

At least she is getting some kind of treatment where she is, but would appreciate if you can send prayers her way.

Well.... kind of good news. It is not an obstruction but she has been diagnosed with enterocolitis which can be caused from numerous things including bacteria, viruses, auto-immune disorders, certain prescription meds and even food.

The fact that she keeps getting it but it keeps getting worse and worse is still concerning. She is being admitted in the hospital and hopefully they can get to the bottom of it. Thanks for the prayers.

To my friends who have left me PMs and karma, I am so sorry I haven’t responded and will try to catch up on a work from home day or the weekend. My coworker has Covid and is quarantined so I am there alone and working extra hours and we are crazy busy. My office is in a basement, so WiFi is an issue and I can read but not post. And I’m still caring for my mom, I’m trying to keep her out of a nursing home which I know would be certain death for her. I am praying for all requests and everyone here. Much love, WW

Next week will be more dangerous. If you are a Christian, you are a target. We must trust in God, and be prepared for anything.

When I was a toddler, I was admitted to Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago for a suspected bowel obstruction, and they were going to do surgery. Fortunately, another doctor examined me. It was severe food and substance allergies, not a bowel obstruction. A second opinion is needed.

I understand what you are going through, as my youngest is also overwhelmed. When her company was bought out, many people retired or quit, and half her department is gone. She is working from her home now for the past 3 weeks, and is doing the work of several people. She is under a lot of stress.

This morning she is still in the ER because the hospital is completely full, but they have come to the conclusion that is the adhesions putting pressure on her intestines and causing inflammation. This is not her first bout of having this, but this time it was really bad.

They said the next time this happens, she needs to immediately go to the ER and get another CAT scan for comparison. They are trying to build a case to justify surgery which all the doctors now feels she will need. I am so glad that they are finally taking it seriously and are at least building a case for surgery.

She was severely dehydrated so they still have her on IV fluids and trying to get her to tolerate clear liquids. So far she is tolerating the clear liquids. Praise God for that!
