I thank you for praying for John, and will give you updates as I know them.

NOLA, fwiw, I think they may have released another weaponized pathogen. Seems like something is going on as hospitals are getting whacked. But there are conflicting reports as to the cause of them filling up. shrug

But we're definitely in a heavy duty spiritual war.

Love, love the prayer warriors!

Psalm 31
A Psalm of David.
18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.
19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
21 Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.
22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Psalm 32
A Psalm of David.
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

Re: Prayer Thread Part 3.
I know I probably sound like a whiner, but I have been so overwhelmed this year, and it hasn't got any easier.

My daughters took me out for brunch after I got home from Church yesterday morning. We had a great meal, but as we were leaving the restaurant, the short 1 inch heel on my right boot somehow got snagged in the rubber mat at the entrance, and down I went.I didn't break anything, but I am rather sore and have a small scrape on my right knee. My ankle went out, and I got it back in place at the restaurant. The knee was out, but I got it back in place when I got home. My hip still hurts, not as bad as yesterday, but not exactly comfortable. I am calling the Chiropractor this morning.I got to say, when I fell, I yelled, and a young man came running up, scooped me up off the floor like I was as light as a sheet of paper(I am a lightweight,91 pounds), and my daughters grabbed me and set me down on a bench.God Bless that young man for helping me ! There is no way I was going to a hospital with all the covid hysteria going on. So prayers needed that my Chiropractor puts me back together, once again.

The biggest thing I am still dealing with, besides the medical bills for my late husband Roy, that seem to never stop trickling in, is the house issue. I have been trying so hard to find a smaller home on a very low budget, that is not falling apart like this one is. Most of the walls and ceilings are cracked, and there is separation between some of the ceilings and walls. The chimney is now separated from the adjoining walls, and some of the cracks are an inch wide, or gaping holes. My foundation is also literally crumbling. I am going to Menards today to get the expanding foam to plug up the gaps in the concrete blocks in the basement, and to plug the holes where the concrete blocks have literally crumbled. The cold air is blowing through the deteriorated blocks. It is the best I can do. This house has a whole bunch of serious problems, including electrical, and there is no way I can fix it, as the cost would be astronomical.
I am asking for prayers, that I could find a cheap, smaller house, that is in good shape overall, and just needs cosmetics, which I can handle.

Thank you, my Friend ! I just want something simple but safe, with a fenced yard, so my dogs can have an area to run around. My oldest daughter might move in with me.She has a really nice place she is renting,a 1st floor of a huge old house, and has been there several years. Her landlord said he might sell it, and will make up his mind by January 1st.
With my arthritis, I am having a bit of a rough time getting up stairs. I can get down mostly OK, but going up, I have to crawl, as I am a bit wobbly on my feet, sometimes.I can't carry any kind of weight, as it makes me off balance. So, when I do laundry, I can get down the basement stairs pretty OK, but going back up, it is one step at a time. I put the clothes basket on a step in front of me, crawl a step, and then repeat until I am upstairs with the load. My kids didn't know I was that bad, as I am so stubborn and independent. My youngest daughter saw this a couple of weeks ago, and was appalled at my dilemma. My daughters have been going with me to look at other houses, as they know I am in a dicey situation here, and they are trying to help me find another home.

Prayers definitely needed.

Prayers for the veteran, tiger1's need for a new home, and all here.

Tiger1 I understand about the crawling, I need to do it too. I tried a different pain regimen and it worked, but I shared it with my wife for her osteoarthritis so have run out of it. We've ordered turmeric capsules yesterday as that is supposed to help with inflamed joints and have an email that it has shipped.

I have anti-inflammatory medication but it is causing kidney damage so I'm trying to not take it, but without it my right leg becomes so stiff that moving it is both impossible for its muscles and extremely painful if I grab it and move it by hand. When our SUV was wrecked I bought my Mrs. a pickup truck not knowing two years later I would be unable to get into it without great effort and a minute or two of work.
Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country,
don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy.

So sorry to hear this. I recently fell in our local grocery store, but it was there fault. The refrigerator was leaking in the fresh veggie section and they did not mark it far enough out. I did damage my good knee but not bad enough to go to the hospital. It was embarrassing and I just wanted them to let me go on my way. I am praying hard that you will not have any long term repercussions from this and that God will swiftly heal you.

As far as the house, it sounds like it is getting dangerous to be there. I pray that God will lead you to the perfect place and location to fit your needs.

My oldest daughter offered to move me and the dogs in with her, as her landlord wouldn't mind, I know him. But, now her landlord is talking about selling it, so she might have to find another place to live. Her place is really nice, but I don't blame her landlord, as a commuter train line is being put in right behind his house.

Over here, if you have no insurance, they lower your bill substantially, and charge you a fraction of the cost, based on your income. If you have insurance, they jack up the price, and you end up paying more, in the end than if you didn't have insurance. When I didn't have insurance, I paid $20-$25 a visit when I went to the clinic. Now, they are charging $400 for a clinic visit, and you end up paying $80-$100 or more, as they jacked up the base visit rate up to $400.

Thank you for the prayers ! I feel a bit better after the Chiropractor put everything back in place. My knee did bruise, but overall I am better than expected.

That's wonderful. I'm happy for you.

Re: Prayer Thread Part 3.
Good morning everyone.

Thank you all for your prayers. My wife is having a terrible difficult time waiting for our lawsuit to complete so we know if we may keep our home and is taking all of her anger out on me.

I'm praying for strength to be patient and remain kind to her despite her screaming she hates me and will kill me before she moves out if she gets a job. She quit her job two years ago so I am our sole supporter, even paying for her truck, all of her crafting supplies, and medical bills.

It's a test for me I'm sure and I'm being as kind and patient with her as possible. The forum, mostly the foodie thread is where I voice my frustration, but I come here to give prayer for others and myself.

Holding all here up in prayer, John, tiger1, Fluffy P. and for others needs to be met.

Have a beautiful day brought to us by God.

They say purchasing a new home is one of life's top stressful events, but the thought of losing your home has got to be one of life's most awful events. Praying for strength for you and for your wife. Also, praying for victory in your lawsuit.
