Well prayer warriors, you have outdone yourselves in devotion to God, perhaps even being heard in heaven.

Here is the combination of email to my office and a summary on the forum of what happened next because of your prayers and love.

The 'strife' in my life for which you prayed for Devine Intervention to help me was resolved with unanticipated and unexpected effects.

I went to sleep dejected at the task before me with the dawn of the next day.

What 'failed' was that fancy-smanshy valve / flusher assembly I installed about a year ago. The light of day, another meal since Wednesday breakfast, and some rest revealed the problem.

That assembly has adjustable settings for tank high water level, tank low water level, and bowl water level after completion of the flush cycle.

The 'air embolism' which caused water hammer, blew the line that provides the post-flush bowl fill, off the entire assembly and was caught in the 'flapper' valve, so the water never shut off. Instead of filling the bowl via that line, the water sprayed up, and was spraying at close to 100 PSI at exactly where the tank cover meets the tank, so it rapidly flooded the bathroom, hallway, threatening to further spread.

So to my office I further wrote: I'll be back to work at my normal time tomorrow.

I apologize for leaving you with my work today as you try to do your own, thank you for understanding.

Now during a typical day I may get twenty emails from various people, departments, or agencies that I will handle in two minutes to two hours, it depends upon the complexity, but they will all be completed even if it takes me until 11:15 PM at night and I begin my day starting work between 6:00 and 6:30 AM every morning.

I may see one or two emails in a day to my group someone else handles.

Thursday I watched as those twenty some emails came to my account, they got my out of office message, and then emailed the group.

Now my team sees they handle two 'issues' between the four of them in a day. And they now see I handle twenty issues in a day they never see. And they had to defer several to me including PCI / DSS compliance. They can't do my job!!!

Our team's new manager now sees too and has been seeing since he was hired a few months ago.

He just gave me 'Flex Time'!!

If I have scheduled a meeting or work outside our time zone, say 6:00 PM, then just start my day at 9:00 instead of 6:30 AM or if I need to do work at 5:00 AM then take the day off at 2:00 PM.

I'm already invisible, and exempt from gov purchasing rules.

Now I am unrestricted by 'business hours'.
