Everyone who needs Prayer and Fellowship with others, please feel free to post your requests or questions. I will do my best to answer your requests, as will many other people who come to this thread.

I am not perfect, just a sometimes disobedient Child of God. I am Orthodox, having arrived at the Faith that has sustained me on this lifelong journey, for the Peace of my Soul.

I will be as fair as possible in my moderation of this thread, but I will not tolerate any off color or questionable posts. This thread has a purpose, a purpose to help one another through this journey on this rock, both Spiritually and in other aspects. You are NOT alone !

I have been a member of GLP for 10 years, lurking around for 2 years before I joined.I have been very open as to the trials my family and I have gone through. It has been Faith and Prayer that has gotten us through it all.

God Bless You All !!!

need prayer for our home to not be put on market by landlord. We're in an area with extremely low inventory and high prices over the last 2 years.

Prayers said.

I feel for you. My oldest daughter moved in with me. Her landlord wanted her out by June 1st, as he wanted to move into her apartment, which was a very large first floor of an old house, and a very nice place which she absolutely loved. A commuter rail line is going in right behind where she lived at, so she wanted to move anyway. Her former landlord had the place up for sale before, and is talking about putting it up for sale again.

Pray about the situation. Maybe it is time to move on, even though you really like your home.Leave it up to God to decide, He is in control. Sometimes things happen for a reason.

I will share this with you, as a personal experience from several years ago. There was an absolutely adorable little house with a big welcoming open front porch, and a basement, that I really wanted to buy.We were considering downsizing, as only the youngest was still at home, the other kids were on their own. Then our financial situation crashed unexpectedly. We had to put everything on hold.
A couple of years later, we had a tornado come through the area. The tornado didn't hit the little house, but it knocked down a 150 year old tree directly on top of it from end to end, smashing it all the way to the ground. Thankfully, no one was home, as even if they had been in the basement, chances are they wouldn't have survived.

Put this in God's Hands. His Will be done.
