Y'all, when I lost my baby girl Icee (the dog in my avatar), one month ago today it was, and is still hard. I have been grieving harder than I thought possible. :'(

So, I prayed and told God that I did not want to adopt another dog, but I wanted a dog to adopt me. I also wanted and older dog that I could give love too.

Well, I think my prayers were answered. There is a Malamute Husky that is in need of rehoming and in need of much love. The way I came across him is miraculous in itself. A friend of mine knows his neighbor and immediately thought of me.

I don't want to jinx it by posting too much, but if all works out I will have a beautiful 9 year old male Malamute Husky coming to live with me mid July. His owners are relocating and cannot take him.

Please pray all goes smooth with the transition and that all will work out. I am going to meet him tomorrow, but love him already just from his picture, his sweet eyes and from talking to all who knows him, about his sweet disposition.

A few days before Princess found me over 2 years ago, I had a dream. In the dream, God told me He was sending me a dog. I told God in the dream, but I already have a dog, Jewel. God said, I am sending you a dog !
A few days later, as I was walking Jewel on the bike trails by my old house, Princess came out of nowhere. She went up to a neighbor who was also walking her dogs, and then made a beeline towards me. I tried to send her on her way, but she not only followed us on this trail, but when we went to the other trail a block away, she followed us all the way down that one, too. When we got home, I opened the back gate and she came running into the yard. I gave up at this point, trying to get her to leave. I opened my back door, and she came walking in like she had lived there her whole life.
She became Roy's service dog, alerting us just before he would have a seizure, or trying to escape the house. When the cancer firmly entrenched into Roy's brain, it became very difficult, to say the least. She stayed next to him like she was glued to him, until the day Roy died. Since then, she is not only an excellent guard dog, but such a playful slobber puss ! She curls up next to me every night. When Mary isn't feeling well, she stays by her, and showers her with gooey doggy kisses.
I firmly believe, that God has a plan for all of us. Prayers said, my Friend ! hugs
