I do love you all. I've haven't been the best person as of late.

This was and is a hardest holiday season for me. Last Christmas was a blur. It was so close to my wife passing. I didn't realize.

This year, it kicked me in the ass. I've been a horrible person to everyone I know and that's just not me.

So if I said anything bad to any of you, I didn't mean it. It's the booze, I've been drinking way to much.

I need to get back on the horse and face facts.

I ask for forgiveness.

Your post immediately bought this to mind:
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I don't think there is a perfect person in this thread...I for one am not and I struggle daily to be the person God wants me to be. So many times I fall short, but the only thing I can do is pick myself up and ask God to help me through another day.

We are all trying but we all fall short. I can't even imagine the grief you are going through, but admire you for staying in the fight.

God knows your heart and He knows what you are going through. Keep fighting the good fight and know that you are loved by all of us.

You have done nothing on this forum to be forgiven for. You have shown much love and concern for others in need of prayer, or a kind word. I value you as a fellow Prayer Warrior.
Drinking doesn't stop the pain of losing a spouse. The only thing that helps is time, and trying to get on with the rest of your life.
As a widow, it has been very difficult for me, as I loved Roy very much. He was not perfect, but he was perfect for me. Focus on the family that is here with you now, your children, grandchildren, other family members. Go out and do something for yourself, whether it be a gun show, a fishing trip, a concert, whatever you like to do. You have to take care of yourself.
Prayers said, and many hugs to you, my Friend !!! hugs

Prayers needed !

I just got off the phone with a young lady,Suzy, who's late Mom was a very close friend many years ago. She is at her wit's end. Her husband has a drug addiction, and abandoned her and the kids 8 months ago. She has no idea where he is. He literally just walked away while they were grocery shopping one day, and just left her and the kids stranded. Her youngest is 7 and very autistic. Her middle son lives at home, and is working, and has been trying to help as much as possible. There is no way Suzy can work with her youngest son being severely autistic. I have seen him in action, and he is a handful. I gave her the number for legal aid, which hopefully can help her.
Her problems don't end there. Her house badly needs repairs, and she has no money to do them. The city is on her case about the house. The house is still in her late mother's name, and she doesn't have the $2,500 to go through probate and get the title. The city could give her a loan to repair the house, if the title was in her name. Her mother didn't have a Will. FTR, her Dad died 10 years before her mother did. Suzy is at risk of being homeless, on top of everything else.

Jewel isn't having seizures. I think it is diminished capacity mentally, as she is old. She can't remember how to back up when she walks in.

I feel bad for Suzy. She has no family except for a brother who is in financial difficulties also. All of her parents siblings are dead, and have been for years. They all died young from cancer, 30's and 40's mostly. Both of Suzy's parents died from cancer also.
I am so Blessed to have a large family. I can't imagine having no one.

Losing a loved one takes time. You were numb last year and this one it came pouring out. Put the booze down. It only makes you feel worse, yes numb for a few hours but after, just a 1,000 times worse. You have to grieve, to feel it. Let it out and cry. Nothing wrong with it. The more you bottle it up the worse it gets and the longer it lasts.

God understand grief. We all understand grief.

You are forgiven! Jesus made sure of that

Ok, asking for prayers. Apparently when I fell back in August and smashed my head through the toilet tank (not the bowl) I had started a chain of events with my eyes. Tomorrow morning at 6am I am going in to have retina reattachment in my left eye and stopping the start of the detachment in my right eye. I woke up this morning with blurred vision.

SO they reattached the left eye, but also found that I have WET macular degeneration in that eye in 3 locations. On my Right eye I have 4 locations that have started with the wet amd and they did not do anything in that eye, yet.

I get to go back to dr on the 16th for the right eye.

Praying for you, LCC... and all others here on the thread...

Re-starting my Bible through the year--it's a special edition with selections from the Old Testament and the New Testament, a Psalm and a few verses from Proverbs--the Psalm and the Proverbs do repeat over the year....it'll be the 7th year that I've used this edition and it's "well-loved" as I had a teacher once say--i.e. the book's showing wear from being schlepped around with me, but I think it's a good thing....just a thought for y'all...reading a little a day is helpful...

I am wide awake--third night in a row due to the rollercoaster a/k/a hubs' BP....prayers appreciated that he stabilizes his nerves (different meds have had different effects at different times so Idk--think it must be nerves) prayers please so we both can get a full night's sleep...holding his hand seems to help so I am going to go back and stretch out beside and hopefully that will help...

Love you all!
