Jewel is hanging in there. I got lucky, as she let me sleep until 4am today, but unfortunately I didn't fall asleep until midnight.I am currently having a bad arthritis flare-up and can't get comfortable. No puddles from Jewel the past couple of days. I leave a puppy pad on the floor by her usual accident place, and she has used it. She threw up once yesterday. Seeing she was diagnosed with kidney failure in November 2021, she is doing good. The Vet wanted me to put her on dialysis at diagnoses, which I rejected. She certainly has lived much longer than expected. She is doing good overall, seeing her condition. She still eats well, goes outside to do her business, and still gives kisses.

The little stinker grandson Robbie is working, and taking classes to get his GED. He is sincerely thinking about joining the National Guard when he turns 18 in 1 year.

We are all just so excited about the youngest daughters upcoming wedding in May !

I figured out why I was told to sing softly at church so the other 5 choir members can be heard. It was nothing I did wrong. I am glad I quit the choir. It's a complicated mess. I don't think I have a voice like Celine Dion, for example, but I can project, and got volume like, as I was told, Ethel Merman or Kate Smith.
The easiest way to explain it, is that people were coming up to me after Liturgy every Sunday, and complimenting me on my singing. I did find this embarrassing. Some people were coming to Liturgy just to hear me sing, I found out. I am not a pro, by any means. I guess I stepped on some toes, accidentally.
I was singing for 2 other churches during holidays, besides my home church, as my church follows the old calendar, which leaves me available to help with worship at other churches. No one at my church knew I did this freelancing singing.

I ended up singing at my church 2 Sundays ago.1st time in 2 years. No choir members showed up, and the altar server was pressed into doing all the singing by the Priest. He was totally lost, and came up to me twice and begged me to help. I did, but only because I felt he was put into this position that he couldn't do. This wasn't fair to him. The Priest could have asked me to do the singing, but didn't. After church, people came up to me and complimented my singing, to my embarrassment.

Sometimes I feel like I take a step forward, and am knocked back 2 steps. :(
